BP worries
Sat here really worrying. Have been suffering from AF since May this year. Two failed cardioversions and waiting now to see an EP specialist. Started on Amiodarone in July and went back into NSR 11th September. The last week my blood pressure has been increasing daily. I am taking 5mg Nebivolol and 10mg

Ramipril... Awful sore dry tongue
Started Ramipril 5 weeks ago but 3 weeks ago noticed my tongue was sore like it was slightly scalded. Now it's really dry. Anyone else had this problem.? I'm looking at changing meds as can't stand this as it's awful in the night.

My Body temperature control switch seems to be broken
Just over 12 months on from my 2 heart attacks and 7 stents. I stuck with my original meds, side effects and all, I thought it was getting better and my body was getting use to the meds. Astrovastine, bisoprolol, Ramipril, clopidogrel, aspirin. most side effects have now subsided, or I just don't notice

Any ectopics or palpitations with ramipril?
Hey guys, So I'm having a weird issue at the moment. I've started to take my ramipril just before I go to sleep lately and last night was awful. About an hour after taking it I had a massive heart pause that pulled me awake when I was dosing whilst reading. Then I had another huge 'pause' when I turned

High blood pressure - stopped C25k
I was doing really well (for me) and had completed W2 R1 which I struggled with. Then I found out I have dangerously high blood pressure, went to see GP and have just been put on Ramipril to try to reduce it (from 200/100). The GP said I could carry on doing C25k but have been feeling very angry and

Alcohol advice
5 months post quadruple bypass on standard meds- clopidogrel, ramipril, bisoprolol, statin and aspirin. Off on a cruise- never been a heavy drinker but would like to have a few relaxing cocktails while away. Anyone got experience of if drinking is wise on the meds?

Thyroxine and ramipril - timing of medication
I’ve been on thyroxine for a while and take it first thing as soon as I wake up. I’ve been prescribed Ramipril and the pharmacist said it’s best taken in the morning around an hour after I’ve had the thyroxine. I had always thought I should wait four hours after taking thyroxine so was wondering how

Fainting/dizzy spells/syncope
A few months ago I slowly crumpled up and fell to the floor and passed out after a 6 mile walk, followed a rapid recovery before my fellow walkers could get their hands on my wallet. I was fortunate to get in and see my cardiologist who told me to increase my water levels by 3 pints a day, make sure

Unexpected rise in BP
I have mild / moderate angina and have been prescribed amlodipine to get my blood pressure down. After about three weeks of the medication my BP was coming down quite steadily but then I got a cold virus and it's right up there again. Is that to be expected?

First time posting. Medication comments.
Completely out of the blue, February 2017 whisked in with cascade angina. It took two blood tests to eventually find trace indicators of heart attack. Two stents fitted. On discharge told my heart valves were strong. Now on Atorvastatin 40mg, Ramipril 2.5mg, Bisoprolol 1.5mg and Aspirin 75mg. Nearly

Carvedilol
I'm taking Bisoprolol and Ramipril while I await a second cardioversion and CT scan of coronary arteries and I'm having breathing problems on the slightest exertion and generally feeling ill much of the time. I've now been offered Carvedilol (with the usual list of contraindications) instead of Bisoprolol

Low 'resting' pulse rate
My Apple watch was showing a resting pulse of 48 a few months ago. Had a consultation with my GP and he got a 24 hours ambulatory ECG done. There are no pauses in the report but my pulse rate was 47-51 for a continuing period of 10 minutes during the night. Although my GP is not concerned but I still
