High Blood Pressure linked to higher dose of Flecainide ?and hot flushes & arterial disease ?
Hi all, I was put on 100mg dose of Flecainide every 12 hours. I actually take 50mg in the day & 100mg at night, I also take 2.5mg Bisoprolol. So far so good re PAF but my blood pressure has got very high. I felt weird one day & checked it, & the top figure was 163. Obviously made an GP appointment &

Ramipril and itching?
Hey Everyone I had a doctor's appointment today and they increased my ramipril. I took it a couple of hours ago and since then I've been itching. Anyone know if this is common. Also can't sleep but I don't think that's connected Thanks Valentina x

Amlodipine side effects
I've been on amlodipine since Jan and recently started having slight blurred vision. I see this is one of the possible side effects, but I thought it would have happened before now if it was that, but I also have blepharitis which it could be causing it. Any thoughts?

Indapamide
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone was on the drug Indapamide? This is diuretic that also helps control blood pressure. I have been on Amlodipine for about a year and it has kept my blood pressure spot on but I am suffering very swollen ankles and feet, a common side effect I am told. The dr therefore

Feeling positive
So 9 months after heart attack and stent treatment I'm now off 2 pills Colpidogrel and Ramipril. Still taking 3 but feel it's positive. Always been active and healthy and many hobbies so this was a mega shock. But now feeling great getting back to most of my activities and my lovely 9 month old border

New Hypertension diagnosis: help taking BP readings properly (variable depending on what I do)
Hi, BACKGROUND (please scroll for question): I (41) did a NHS (U.K.) health check, followed by a 7 day home BP Monitoring, giving an average of 151/108 The Dr suggested Ramipril, but also suggested lifestyle changes might work The last 2 months I’ve changed my lifestyle (instead of asking to

Recent post about sinus congestion and BP drugs - I can't find it...
I remember seeing a post which I think mentioned sinus congestion possibly related to drugs used for high blood pressure but now can't find it. My husband has been taking ramipril and amlodipine for several years and for the last 2-3 years has suffered intermittent but significant congestion - feeling

Pins and needles/numbness ramipril
I have been on ramipril for a month. From about 2 weeks in, I started noticing slight numbness in my hands and feet and they get soooooo cold! Often wake in the night and can't feel my hands much. Blood test only showed serum ferritin levels weren't that great but everything else ok. Cardiologist seems

Doxazosin
I was diagnosed with compensated cirrhosis in 2017. Today I was prescribed Doxazosin, an alpha blocker, for palpitations and hypertension. This is supplementary to the Irbesartan and Felodipine I've been on for many years. But I'm not happy with the leaflet on the medication, which lists liver problems

Chest pain again. Should I be worried?
I am 44. Have LBBB and mild LV dilation. Ejection fraction is 45%. Started Ramipril 1.25mg for 2 weeks and now 2.5mg. All was well and I was able to jog, walk fast with no chest pain/shortness of breath. Last week jogging was fine but yesterday I went for a jog same distance as before but I experienced

Second anniversary of HA and hopefully we’ll on the mend
Good reason to celebrate today as it’s two years to the day that my life was saved by those wonderful NHS folks. Suffered a Stemi / widow maker, but 4 stents got me up and running again. Luckily I live only 8 minutes away from the Leicester Glenfield Heart Unit and an ambulance was in the area. From

Diverticular Disease and Sarcoidosis
Hi I have just been diagnosed with the above having thought I just had IBS. I am currently taking Losartan but this is causing irritating cough which is also an issue with the Sarcoidosis. Previously had Amlodipine but that caused bowel issues. Anyone had similar? The pharmacist must be getting fed

PMR flare, muscle pain or side effects of medication?
I reduced prednisolone from 11mg to10mg a fortnight ago. Not been feeling great for the last week, I'm not sleeping very well, I am struggling to turn over in bed and to get out of bed, but the pain and stiffness are mostly in my right hip, my lower back and my chest. I thought it was a muscle problem

Diuretics
Hi, has anyone been recommended to take a diuretic for mild/moderate left ventricular impairment but no symptoms of water retention such as breathlessness, swollen ankles? My husband (age 65) had an echocardiogram in February last year, ejection fraction 40%, also mild/moderate regurgitation. A few days
