Hi I have just been diagnosed with the above having thought I just had IBS. I am currently taking Losartan but this is causing irritating cough which is also an issue with the Sarcoidosis. Previously had Amlodipine but that caused bowel issues. Anyone had similar? The pharmacist must be getting fed up with me !

hey Bobby...I was on Amlodipine for about a month in October 2022...first time in my life...I ended up in ER as my BP spiked 210/110...anyhow, the only changes I felt starting my 5 mg tablet was...slight swelling of the feet, could hear the blood rushing noise on my left side of neck....I cut the tablet by 1/2...and then after 10 days stopped it altogether....now 5 months later, my BP is about as normal can be for my 79 years of age..averages 140/90...I have had spikes twice..upto 175/101...but I managed to bring it down by slow deep breathing and self relaxation for about 5-7 minutes..

I am drinking just 2 glasses f beer or wine a day max...2 cups of coffee a day max...I had cut out all salt..now I am back to normal salt additive...I am very active...good weight...eat healthy..lots of fruits, veggies, ...maybe I just got lucky.....good luck
