Early signs of ovarian torsion?
Hi all, I’ve had a large endometrioma (around 11cm) for about a year now and am on the waiting list for surgery. On my period now and was in a lot of pain, which is common for my periods. But the pain has felt different - rather than feeling it all over my abdomen, I’ve just felt it in my lower right

does it ever completely go away?
I had a medical procedure that was in itself very traumatic and also reactivated a childhood trauma. I have been in CBT for 2 1/2 years and recently started EMDR. I want this all to just go away! However, as in the case of the childhood trauma, which I thought had been dealt with, I fear I will always

Pegasys --> Besremi and HCT
Hi, What a great forum - thanks to you all for contributing. I'm a 37 year old male - diagnosed with PV 3 years ago. I recently made the jump from Pegasys to Besremi. I was on 135ug every 9 days without need of supporting venesection (at least for the last 8 months or so). Since switching medication

Longtime glaucoma patient
Hi. I just wanted to say that my experience with Glaucoma has been over many, many years. I’ve been very fortunate to have had treatment, isoptocarpine which was horrible. I have Myopia and these drops made it almost impossible to see for any length of time. They were to reduce the eye pressure quickly

Oar Gel and gold placements for beginners on this journey
I am a beginner on this PC journey but feel fortunate that I caught my cancer before it had spread beyond the prostate. I caught sepsis from my directed transrectal biopsy and spent a lovely few days in ICU flirting with the nurses and trying not to mess up the bed and floor too much. I have 9 weeks

Coping in the heat
Hi, i have finally got a diagnosis of ET and have started on pegasys, fourth injection this week. It has been warm here the last couple of days and I have found work to be extremely exhausting. Does anyone else suffer in the heat? I work in a lab so need to wear a labcoat. I have asked for an occupational

Does anyone else get this? It's the proper term ( learnt from pink vision Headway) It's one of the things I now live with . Supermarket syndrome ( cherylclair posted) Part of it too. It has improved but as I'm 'appearing ' more 'normal 'sorts the chaff from the wheat with understanding of how debilitating

Hi, I’m a first time poster and honestly not sure if this is the right forum. After two years of being tested for PMR my GP has now referred me to Rheumatology as they think that I may have RA (and not PMR). I am off all medication other than pain killers, I’m am in my late 40s. I am really struggling

curious!
Good morning! I am doing so well on prednisone 6mg. I can’t believe the difference after being tapered too quickly and being on only Advil. I have latent TB and have to start a medication for that for 4 months. Apparently, this med will decrease the effects of prednisone! Ugh! Any thoughts?

Touchpoint Solutions for ADHD/Focus
My 8 yo daughter was diagnosed with ADHD last year. After a several month wait due to insurance and availability limitations, she is now in therapy and I think it will be very helpful for her. She continues to struggle in school. I hoping to avoid medication if I can, but I also know it will be some
