Home today.
Hurrah I can go home today. Stopped antibiotics, stopped pain killers, stop everything in fact except a small amount of bisiprodol and Amiodrone plus apixaban until I see Mr Hunter in clinic in about 6 weeks

Trab with sedation
HI, I’m new on here. I have open angle glaucoma in both eyes, with some vision loss. I am going to have a trabeculectomy very soon, as eye drops haven't been that successful, and I'm extremely nervous, so have opted to have sedation. I was wondering how effective the sedation is? Does it just relax

Eye floaters. Any link to Pred or just normal ageing process?
This is not the first time I've had these floating black specks in my vision, mostly on the left which is my weaker eye (very short-sighted on that side). But does long term Pred affect this? And is it a warning sign? I'm currently on 5.5 mg of Pred for GCA /LVV /PMR one year in, feeling ok, though bouts

Do long acting nitrates affect sleep?
Hi, hoping someone that has experience with taking long acting nitrates can help answer my question. I have had anxiety now for 6 years. None of the medication prescribed has helped or agreed with me. One on the forehead and

9 weeks post op, still pain on one side, dark shade around kidney? Also new endometrioma found 😔
So at 6 weeks I posted about pain to one side, I was finally send to SAU yesterday for bloods and an ultrasound, my back is so tender to touch and they have found a dark spot in my kidney area? They don't know what it is but sent me home with a lot of pain killers and the promise of a CT scan to take

NHS Attitudes on Worth of Life
My deep apologies to everyone for this post but I think it’s going to be a long one. Partly about PA and partly on NHS attitudes I am encountering about the worth of life. Warning for sensitive members, this post might be shocking. So you will know me through my posts regarding seizures and both neurological

Pessary
I recently had a gellhorn pessary fitted at the hospital pessary clinic. While it’s stopped the symptoms of cystocele I now get little stinging sensations and a dull lower stomach ache. In the last few days the ache has spread to my groin areas. I’m wondering if anyone else has had these symptoms or

Back pain, still no answer
I received my results from some of the blood work I had done. I’m still trying to figure out why I have such excruciating back pain. So far, I have no answer. I usually don’t get relief from the pain pills better than a 6 on the scale of 1-10. I have to wait until I get a little relief to be able to

Knee injury - sigh.
Started my running journey around five years ago and I've been going through a real purple patch recently as have clocked up two personal bests for the 5k and have generally been running faster and at a consistent pace (always conversational - I checked that by muttering to myself every so often!).

Uncontrollable use of toothbrush
My wife has PSP and in the last week when brushing her teeth she starts normally but then starts scrubbing them extremely hard and fast I have had to take the brush out of her hand forcibly. Today her gums were bleeding. This is with a manual toothbrush I am going to try her with an electric brush that

balance issues
I have had glaucoma for years, last December 2023i had cataracts done to help with opening angles, then in March I had SLT & my pressures went down to 13&17 but since then my balance is not good, it hasn’t been good for long enough but worse now, could it be to do with when I am in shops with the light

hello, I posted before and should of mentioned this also that every time I open my bowels I have to take a painkiller and lie down until it takes affect, as I mentioned before my treatment ended twelve weeks ago, how long will this carry on as I am going to have to become employed again and I don’t know
