Hi everyone, I'm a long time ThyroidUK participant. Right now the thyroid replacement is good, vitamins, minerals, are all great. I'm very particular to ensure this. I use HRT (Triestrogen/progesterone) topical cream and have used since age 45 and I'm now 65. Here's the problem: in March

newly diagnosed
my friend is newly diagnosed with CLL. It’s not at the stage of needing medical intervention. She wants to be proactive. Does anyone have experience of natural health treatments that work? Such as oxygen therapy or high levels of vitamin c? I would be very interested to hear of positive outcomes.

I have said before, my first neurologist , a world recognized doctor in the field of PD told me 20 years ago that someday what we now know as Parkinson's Disease will be 10 to 15 or more individual diseases that resemble each other but may be treated differently. I keep forgetting this and continue

Coping after hip replacement
Hi Everyone, Sorry its me again with yet more concerns about forthcoming hip replacement on 5th December. Despite my emphasising to the surgeon at my recent pre-op assessment that I was having excruciating pain in my right hip (which is what I had assumed would need replacing) BUT because the x-rays

FSH going from 8 to 43 just in few weeks while preparing for a FET, is it temporary or menopause?
Hi Ladies Can anyone help put a light to my issue of FSH going from 8 to 43 just in 2-3 weeks while I was doing tests before a frozen transfer. I am devastated as I cannot find a logic to this. Background I am preparing for a FET cycle but my hormons all of a sudden messed up besides my thin lining

Prostate Cancer Diet and Re-purposed Meds
I was just reading a post about Jane Mcclelland's protocol regarding her book, "How to starve cancer." She also added a second portion on a book re-released, with a Ferroptosis (death by iron) protocol. I thought the criticism to be amazing. Cancer is a baffling mystery, top scientist and great minds

Soy concerns
Hi, I have been focusing on the nutrition posts to improve my diet as I have osteopenia. I am reading a lot of posts and articles saying to incorporate soy. I stay away from soy because of breast cancer risks. I don't have breast cancer but avoid any estrogen enhancing products/medication like hormone

Progesterone: oestrogen ratio
Hi all I recently got my oestrogen and progesterone levels done by medichecks.I was hoping they worked out the actual ratio of oestrogen to progesterone but they don't so now I'm confused. The 2 results are calculated in different values (pmol/L Vs nmol/L) which makes it hard to interpret if one of

Flare after TKR update
Just an update - I have taken ibuprofen regularly but no improvement and today I feel incredibly fatigued. I have therefore increased from 6.5mg to 10mg and will stay at this level for at least a week provided it solves the problem. Strangely it seems that everything but the knee hurts! Recovery

Where was I?
I gave some insight recently into problems I’d had which led to a diagnosis of Vestibular Migraine. I posted as Everywhere. However, Everywhere disappeared and is now nowhere to be seen in the members list. As a result of an HU glitch which took them a week to sort out, I had to rejoin as Everywhere2

Total knee replacement?
I have RA, diagnosed at Christmas 2020. I also have buggered knees - I believe that is the correct medical term - that pre-date the RA diagnosis. At my last (final?) RA consultation the consultant showed me a beautiful X-ray of my knees. Nice bones, absent cartilage. He had previously mentioned knee

second opinion?
I was diagnosed with endometriosis over two years ago when I was being tested for a problem with my bladder. Doctor found a mass and sent me for scans internal and external. I also had a hysteroscopy (more than one eventually) where they had problems with my cervix. I have a massive chocolate cyst in

Venetoclax
Hi all Well we finally got to see a specialist. They did a bone marrow biopsy which showed 50% CLL infiltration on top of the pancytopenia. They have suggested treatment with Venetoclax only which they have said may reduce the frequency of transfusions which is currently weekly. I have only ever

mild IVF? not great so far.
Just an update on how mild IVF is going so far for anyone interested: After multiple (7!) miserable attempts with traditional IVF (1-2 mature eggs retrieved each time), I finally switched to a mild protocol. I did a week of estrogen priming with provera in the previous luteal phase, then started Clomid

Private endo recommendation in Wales, please
Hi. I haven't posted for a while as I've moved from England to Wales. I used to see Dr SZ at Gatwick Spire, and am hoping someone could recommend an endo closer to Wales. I can't find anyone on the ThyroidUk list.On the Thyroid UK list, Dr GC ( who has Hashimoto's herself ), does video conferencing

Thyroid menopause supplement no hrt
Hi. I've been feeling quite good for a while now but I've had to stop taking HRT.I'm now feeling not fabulous again. I'm looking at all the natural alternatives. Anyone got any suggestions which won't interfere with thyroxine or aggravate the thyroid? Thank you
