hi everyone!

does anyone have experience with norethisterone to delay period for holidays ect?

I have never used it but i have a holiday coming up that the pain of being on my period would completely ruin. For me, delaying the period pain is a main priority.

Any advice or experiences would be really useful please x

I have used norethisterone a few times when my periods have clashed with a holiday or a wedding etc. I don't remember having any issues with it for occasional use.

If your periods are fairly regular and you can guesstimate when it's due its a handy pill to have. You need to start taking it 3 days before you're due on and continue it through till after your holiday when you should immediately have your period. It was hit and miss for me as my cycle arrives as and when it pleases! I have used in the past and didn't have any issues thankfully 🫶🏻

Thank you! I am relatively regular so hopefully it will work for me 🤞

I prefer tranexamic acid but my issue is bleeding not so much the pain. I've used norithestetone too. It made me feel a bit snappy and very bloated but it does the job x

I’ve used it lots, been a life saver for me. Start taking a few days before your holiday and till the day after you come home.

hello! Yes I’ve used it in the past a few times before. For me, it made my period (when it eventually came) a bit more haywire and heavier than usual. But I think the positives of not having a period on holiday outweighed that :) enjoy the break!!!
