ca125 up from last reading
I’m 49 and in 2019 was diagnosed with stage 1c2. It was found in pathology after having ovaries removed prophylactically due to finding out I was BRCA1 positive. I had 3 rounds of taxol and carboplatin. I might mention that my ca125 was 8 so never indicated cancer. During chemo my number rose to 9.

Chemo or no/not yet?
59 years old. Metastatic/high volume. PSA hit 366 before starting Abiraterone and Degarelix. Start Lupron next week. Negative on DNA test. Will see what PSA looks like next week after a month of ADT. My question chemo, no chemo or wait on chemo? Onco and Rad Onco both seemed to have a very soft attitude

Was there ever really a chance for a cure?
When I began the Stampede protocol 1 1/2 yrs ago, it was my understanding that two years of Zytiga/Prednisone and three years of Lupon with radiation to the pelvic area at the 7 mo - 1 yr mark gave a chance for a "cure" under my conditions (3+4 gleason, etc). Now, my non-medical view of things is convincing

Brain Fog or Dimentia?
Hey warriors! So how do you know if you have brain fog or the beginning of dementia? Is it possible to blame ADT and Zytiga? My husband has been on Ellegaard for five years and Zytiga for 2 1/2. Years, he seems to have a lot of memory issues lately, and I fear it’s only getting worse Any thoughts or

Dutasteride Monotherapy is effective for Newly Diagnosed PCa men not on ADT
This plot shows men that either don't have PCa (Group A) or newly diagnosed men with PCa by biopsy (Group B). Neither group is on ADT. Dutasteride monotherapy (0.5 mg/day) causes an average drop in PSA of about 50% in both Groups, and an average drop of about 20% in prostate volume. In one man, his

zoladex/HRT pending hysterectomy
I started on Zoladex a week ago, alongside HRT. I am on the surgical waiting list for a hysterectomy with a view to keeping my ovaries as I am 34. Since the injection I have had a horrible stomach ache (alongside the usual crippling pain) but I can’t eat, I feel nauseous and I can’t open my bowels

Is thyroid hormone replacement allowed to take when you are on a BTK inhibitor?
Hello, beautiful community. My thyroid replacement therapy is finally stable after years of struggling and I'm afraid the BTK inhabitor can affect either treatment?. The new challenge is, that, I'll start treatment for Lymphoma/CLL. As you know, here is a guideline for not taking some medications

BTA and 'T3 does not cross the placenta'
The BTA guidelines on liothyronine state 'T3 does not cross the placenta'. There is some truth in this in that type 3 deiodinase (D3) in placenta converts T3 to T2. However, they fail to point out that D3 also converts T4 to rT3. The transport of T3 and T4 across the placenta is very complex but the

My experience with mental health and First Episode Psychosis.
The way in which acute Psychosis can affect your life is so overwhelming that I thought I’d write a piece to spread awareness and combat the stigmatization that this symptom of mental health illness has in our society. I have had a few years of struggles with anxiety, panic attacks and depression,
