Support Tips
Hi ladies, I am new to the page and was looking for some advice. My mother in law has just been diagnosed with Stage 4 and is beginning chemo next week. Can you give us any hints or tips on what to expect over the coming weeks? I was hoping to put together a kit with things that might give some relief

Shingles and fucidin
I have shingles since 24th Dec. Some are still weeping on my back despite being treated with Acicllovir. My GP has prescribed Fucidin today. When I applied it the shingles have become redder and stinging. I saw on one website that Fucidin is not recommended for shingles. Advice please.

New Lupus Sufferer
Hi I have just been diagnosed with DLE lupus. I have horrible red scars, one on top of my forehead and three on side of my face. I hate them. Lucky I can cover them up and use a brilliant natural concealer called Jane Iredale. I have been using Elocon cream for a week now but haven't noticed much

Emollients - Epimax instead of Diprobase
I asked my GP for some more Diprobase, but was refused as my NHS area's formulary no longer lists it. I remembered a nurse using Fifty:50 so asked for that, and it was allowed. The formulary now lists Epimax as the first choice alternative to Aproderm, Aqueous cream, Aquamax, Diprobase cream, E45 cream

Not a pretty pic but.......
Apologies for the picture! As you can see I have an infected toe, I've had a week on antibiotics but it's no better, worse in fact, my GP says he doesn't think it is infected and the fact it isn't healing is nothing to do with my ET or the HU! 😳 I managed to persuade him to take a swab for testing but
