Waiting times are very bad in Angus. Had a letter telling me my referral to dermatologist would be 20 weeks not 12!!!
My psoriasis was very bad but I find the best for me is using Epaderm cream (from doc regularly ( daily )to keep skin moist and covering myself with Exorex lotion. It works better than anything else I've tried

I'd be a little cautious about those who can, apparently, seriously help you, but are not willing to do so in your discussion. Just saying. Unless of course it's a dermatologist in Angus with some free appointment slots.
That's a very long wait you've got there. But clearly you have a good routine for managing your psoriasis. When you do eventually get an appointment, be sure to ask about all treatment options, including drugs e.g. Methotrexate or biologics if you might be considering going down that road. And also, if you have any swollen joints or nail changes, do let the dermatologist know as they are meant to keep an eye open for possible psoriatic arthritis and refer to rheumatology if necessary. At least you have plenty of time to read up about your options and get well-informed, though that must be small comfort.
Waiting times aren't quite as bad at my health board (usually 12-16 weeks depending on severity), but you have to know the right things to say to get bumped up the list and also be persistent with checking for cancellations with the appointments team. I got seen within 8 weeks last time, but then had to be put on another waiting list for UV which has been over 12 weeks now and no appointment in site.
