My stomach around the injection site is all red and itchy I've only been doing the cetrotide for 2 days and I've had to cool it down with ice, but my god, SO itchy! Anyone got any recommendations? Can I use E45 cream on the site?

Cetrotide..... OH MY GOD, SO ITCHY!!!!
I had the same! It got easier. It helped me to get my other half to blow on it and role a glass of cold water over it. I didn't use cream - but I don't see why not xx
I always got this, it used to be all raised and red like nettle stings think it's just one of the side effects for some. Hang in there and try not to scratch xx
Yeah mine is exactly like that.
If u place aloe cera gel in fridge in then apply that ro the effected area will help with the itching however im nit sire of u can use it becuz ur doing injections. I tried it when i got stang by a insect dureing summar therefore it help to ease the itch.x
I sometimes get skin hives (nothing to do with ivf) found ice too harsh. Wet a towel and put it in the fridge for 30mins and use it on the site whilst another chills in the fridge x
Should you still continue with the drug if you are reacting? Arent there others?
It's really high up the expected side effects, I as long as the rash doesn't spread it's supposed to be okay - but I've got an appointment tomorrow so I can ask them. That's a good tip, I might even just straight up freeze a wet towel, it's so bloody annoying and it doesn't go away for a good 3 hours
I was on a different drug but I found that injecting super super slowly massively helped me not to get red raised itchy bumps. Worth a try. But I mean SUPER slowly!!
Ah bless u!!think ice to cool is probably the answer or aloe Vera gel kept in fridge x
Just did my first cetrotide injection an hour ago and it's still red and itchy! Thankfully wasn't painful though so i think I will be able to live with it!
Just so everyone knows, the nurse told me today to persist with the ice and not to put any cream or anything on the site.
