Restless Legs Syndrome
I have severe Restless Leg Syndrome and I don't know what to do anymore. I tell my MS doctor and all he does is put me on more pills and when I tell him that is not working, he ups the amount of pills I take. I feel like he is not listening to me. It is so bad, I have it just about every night and

Does The Thyroid Affect Potassium Levels?
Hi! A bit of a random question but I’ve recently had some bloods taken by my GP surgery and my potassium levels have come back a little low (3.2 range 3.5-5.3) My TSH is 3.06 (range 0.27-4.20), which I think is a little too high although in range, so it got me thinking if there is a link at all between

Hello PMR Brains I am currently three and a half weeks post op from an unplanned hip replacement. Prior to this unfortunate tripping over a wall, I was on 4.5mg having just gone back from 4mg as I felt the PMR creeping back (I also had a cold virus about 6 weeks ago). In hospital they upped my pred

Post surgical exacerbation of RLS
Just an update to my previous posts about post surgical pain. I am almost 3 weeks post op after total hip replacement. I had asked about pain relief. Anyway, the pain has lessened although it was excruciating for 2 + weeks. My question is what can I do about the increase in my RLS? Since the surgery

High histamine reaction - is this common with hypothyroidism?
I am wondering if being hypothyroid has anything to do with high histamine reactions because I had anaphylactic shock during general anaesthetic when they were injecting drugs into my system for a knee replacement?

Neuropathy and Osteoarthritis
Hello All, I am writing on behalf of my 89 year old mom who has been struggling with severe leg and back pain. Mom had Guillaune Barre Syndrome in 2009 resulting from the flu vaccine and both knee replacements prior to that. She is diabetic and otherwise cognitively fine. Her pain causes her syncope

Utrogeatan and Hashi-soybean lecithin issues?
Hi everyone, I recently started with bioidentixal HRt (oestrodose and Ultrogestan(progesterone). I have hashimotoes so do not eat soy or gluten. Having taken it for about a month I noticed the corners of my inner eyes red and inflamed which is what I get when I consume allergens. On researching I found

hi all, I had knee replacement surgery on June 18 and when I came home I was on pain meds so I stopped taking my klonipin. I was on .25 of Klonipin 3 x a day. My anxiety level was pretty low so I had not taken Klonipin for a week. I’m off pain meds now and this morning I woke up with quite a bit of
