Anxious about endo and bowel Implications
This is my first post but I have been reading everyone's stories over the last week, gaining much reassurance-thank you. I have had hideous periods for 12 years + and tried a variety of remedies including 2 mire a coils the first of which worked well, the second not so as I had lots of other discomforts

Hysterectomy and bowel resection
I'm new to the site but have been under a local gynaecologist for the past 2 years. I was diagnosed with endometriosis after a laparoscopy and given 3 months to conceive without success. I then had a laparospic op to burn as much away as possible and had the mirena coil fitted. I was told that my bowel

Surgery booked
So in two weeks it's surgery number three, bowel resection round two! Possible stoma number one! But this time I am terrified, not entirely sure why, maybe the suggestion that my endo has progressed to deeply infiltrating endo or maybe the longer you have endo and the longer you deal with it the more

I'm ready to give up
It's been almost two years since endo caused me to have a bowel resection and ileostomy and my bowels still don't work. I depend on laxatives and enemas to move my bowels every few days. I'm almost always in pain; migraine, rectal pain, crippling back pain, abdominal pain or a combination of two or

Life is becoming almost impossible to bear.....
It's been a while since I managed to post anything. I've been as sick as a dog for as long as I can remember. My health seems to have taken a nose dive. Since my bowel resection, ileostomy and reversal, my bowels have refused to work. I rely on laxatives and painful enemas every few days to go to the

Another zolodex question
Hi everyone, I've just been reading lots of posts and I see that many of us have real concerns about Zolodex. I've had 5 surgeries so far for usual catalogue of stage for endo and waiting for full pelvic clearance op with bowel resection. I've been told this op won't be for at least 8 months (because

What next after bowel resection
I had a mirena coil fitted 5 years ago. In October 2013 the pain came back. Last June I had a lap n was diagnosed with stage 4 endo with severe adhesions on my bowel. I was put on prostap and the pain went. In June I am due to have a bowel resection with a (hopefully) tempory loop illeostomy. I still

Part of my endo is squashing bowel. My question is - does anyone know does this stop you from losing weight?
I'm putting more and more weight on and I have been trying really hard, but I'm just not losing any weight. I'm just getting fatter!!! The endo is pulling at my bowel and so there's only a small opening in my bowel. I'm waiting for an appointment with a bowel consultant to see if I have to have a bowel

Will everything work ok after bowel sugary? Can anyone explain their procedure in non-medical terms?
Hi everyone, I’m 27, living on my own far away from family and in last year been diagnosed with stage 4 endo. Had 4 lap surgeries and appendix out and things unstuck. Still having pain so now they want to do bowel resection due to my ovary&tube stuck, again, to the bowl, followed by removing a retroperitional

Bowel resection
Hi all just wondered if any one else out there had had this? After 5 years I finally got diagnosed with endo last June. It has created scar tissue around my lower bowel I have been on prostap since then and with theHRT all has been good. No a n e or morphine for 9months. I've just had an MRI

Hi, I'm recovering from a bowel resection after recent surgery for my endo and wondered whether anyone else had had this done? Thanks
I've been diagnosed for over ten years, have had previous laps and diathermy which worked in the short term. My recent op removed my right Fallopian tube, unstuck all the fused areas, but was complicated by the endo which had gone through my bowle wall causing a stricture. I now have a stoma, and am
