I am having zoladex injections prior to my hysterectomy and bowel resection. Although I have had very few hot flushes I do have terrible joint pain but wanted to know if zoladex affects sleep. Since having these injections I am struggling to stay asleep at night and wondered if anyone else has experienced this?

I think Zoladex does affect sleep, and made Amy sleep really light, entwined with the night sweats it gave her made sleep very difficult, one of the only solutions we found was for a 'self hypnosis' sleep type audiobook, I think Paul McKenna does one, and we also bought something similar to this ( I think they are designed for partners of people who snore heavily) but they are comfortable and you don't need to worry about the headphones falling out when you get to sleep. Amy also found one way to combat the sleep deprivation was to allow herself to go off to sleep whatever time of day it was, which would help with the tiredness, but then almost became to much of a vicious circle against not being able to sleep overnight.
Hope you find a solution and start getting better sleep
