I had a mirena coil fitted 5 years ago. In October 2013 the pain came back. Last June I had a lap n was diagnosed with stage 4 endo with severe adhesions on my bowel. I was put on prostap and the pain went. In June I am due to have a bowel resection with a (hopefully) tempory loop illeostomy. I still

Part of my endo is squashing bowel. My question is - does anyone know does this stop you from losing weight?
I'm putting more and more weight on and I have been trying really hard, but I'm just not losing any weight. I'm just getting fatter!!! The endo is pulling at my bowel and so there's only a small opening in my bowel. I'm waiting for an appointment with a bowel consultant to see if I have to have a bowel

Bowel resection
Hi all just wondered if any one else out there had had this? After 5 years I finally got diagnosed with endo last June. It has created scar tissue around my lower bowel I have been on prostap since then and with theHRT all has been good. No a n e or morphine for 9months. I've just had an MRI

Hi, I'm recovering from a bowel resection after recent surgery for my endo and wondered whether anyone else had had this done? Thanks
I've been diagnosed for over ten years, have had previous laps and diathermy which worked in the short term. My recent op removed my right Fallopian tube, unstuck all the fused areas, but was complicated by the endo which had gone through my bowle wall causing a stricture. I now have a stoma, and am

How's it going with adhesions ops people?
Hi there, I've posted before when people have mentioned having operations for adhesions. It's been over a year now since my last operation which was open surgery for a bowel resection and extensive lysis of adhesions, It wasn't the first surgery I'd had, for adhesions and I've been dreading the return

Living with Endo...
Hi everyone - feeling very confused and down, so hoping you can share some thoughts with me... I'm struggling with endo - have been for about 8 years - had my first lap a week ago, with endo specialist, and still feeling very sore. They found cysts on my left ovary, and recto-vaginal endo, and everything

I have severe endo and am due to have a full hysterectomy, bowel resection and removal of endo and lesions. Has anyone had the same?
I'm not sure what to expect after the operation and just how long the recovery period is likely to be. I have already had endo removed from my belly button and lap, but this next op is going to be quite major (so I'm told!) and although I can't wait to have it done, I'm feeling anxious about it. I'm

Help with bowel problems!!! Please I'm at the end of my rope....
I had a bowel resection and an ileostomy in November 2012 and a reversal in February 2013. This was due to having endometriosis stage 4. After the reversal I had ileus for two weeks and was only discharged after it got better. Since the reversal, I haven't been able to open my bowels (go to the toilet

Want to be a mother? Think about it now, rather than later!
I was never really all that maternal but never envisaged not having my own children one day. At 35 I decided it was now or never as time was ticking, it never seemed to be the right time before that. I came off the pill and though “if it happens”. It did happen, 6 months later I was pregnant but

Colonoscopy for bowel endometriosis
hi everyone, hope you are all ok today. I was just wondering if anyone has had a colonoscopy to check for endo in the bowel? I had surgery three years ago and they found a deep penetrating nodule in my bowel and they had to do a bowel resection to get rid of it and I have started having the same bowel

Long term Zoladex use
I have stage 4 endo, diagnosed after 20 years. Since then I've had 4 surgeries, the most recent one being a bowel resection and an ileostomy in December which has since been reversed. Each time I have surgery I'm given a Zoladex shot for 6 months with HRT. With no period and no excruciating and debilitating

Endo on bowel and in vagina- surgery
Hi I am new to this site but just about at my wits end. I was diagnosed with endo last year after 12 years of being told I was normal and had IBS. I have been told my endo has stuck my bowel to my cerix and also has grown through into my vagina. For years doctors kept wondering what the lumps were
