For months a have had sensation of swelling around neck and have had difficulty swallowing. I have had an endoscopy and all was clear except for silent reflux/ gerd and take 40 mg pantoprazol due to combination of meds. However in recent days the sensation is increasing. My whole face feels very tight, and numb. After my my latest blood test the doctor put me on statins. My colesterol has been very high for years but the doctor said that controlling Parkinsons was more important. Could that have made the situation worse.

I do not know whether statins are aggravating the symptoms you are experiencing, but the sequence of events you describe certainly raises the question.
Thank you for you your reply about the statins. I am hopefully getting my blood test results back tomorrow so I can see for myself just high they are and try find some alternative. Is it possible that too many meds could be causing the problem, seeing as they already give me gerd¿
