I can't claim any specialist knowledge on blood thinners but warfarin is rarely given nowadays and many have already changed, as like you say, warfarin interacts with everything under the sun whereas the newer ones don't need to be monitored and have little interaction with anything.
Sounds Soo unpleasant and uncomfortable for you rn, to have esophageal thrush. Did they elude to any reasons why it occured? A common reason in some people is inhaler use. Again I'm no expert. And peeps like us have terrible immunity.
They aren't first line and I don't think they have been conclusively studied so far for those with APS sadly yet. So defs would probs have to consult your rheumi for advice in that regard, as updates and guidance may have changed.
Isn't Nystatin usually a 'go to' for treatment of e.thrush if you want something that does affect warfarin and thus INR?
Again, I'm not sure. Sorry. We defs need a better alternative, and there is hope that with the research due to the adverse clots seen in those with APS and AstraZenica that alot more money is being put in to both to understand and treat this.
I’ve had it, and it’s sore! You do need treatment and the dr should be able to prescribe nystatin or something similar. Mine- I think was caused by the use of ppi’s.
