My aunty has been submitted to hospital with Jaundice and pale stalls and very orange urine, yet no pain. Mri has shown no gall stones neither has Endoscopy. It seems like Liver failure but i donn't remember seeing her drink much at all. She is active and certainly not overweight and eats well. The

Clear colonoscopy but chronic active inflammation shown up on CT scan.
Hi, I'm currently being investigated for the possibility of bowel disease. I had my colonoscopy on Friday and I didn't really get the answers I wanted. I guess it's one step back. They didn't see any ulcers (my first colonoscopy from 2020 showed TI ulcers) and no inflammation (A CT scan from April this

Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction Type 1 with cirrhosis of the liver
I had an Endoscopic ultrasound on Tuesday where they confirmed I have Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction (SOD) Type 1. Last week I was diagnosed with cirrhosis with a score of 22.5. I'm still not sure what this score really means except I'm in the risk category (20-25). A score over 25 is high risk. I'm a

Esophagus nodules
Here I go again. I have been having lots of symptoms. I had my yearly at the Mayo. My liver specialist told me what ever is going on with me has nothing to do with my liver. He said that my liver is as healthy as someone without pbc/aih. The following day I had my three year colonoscopy/endoscopy.

Update on my unusual body!
Hi Folks, just an update on my unusual bowel layout. I had an endoscopy and I am now on tablets for gastritis, so at least other things have been ruled out, including the big C in the area covered by the procedure. I’m now awaiting an appointment for a small bowel investigation, which I gather involves

So I finally went to the GI doc
I've been fighting a bit of a losing battle with constipation - regardless of a lot of fiber intake, lots of water, chewing food more, etc I am still getting hit with it every few days it seems. It hasn't triggered my Afib, (one good thing!) only a few ectopics when I get really backed up - but she

Thyroxine/PMR/Steroids/AA
I haven't been on here for a while but hopefully I will be offered some good advice from similar sufferers on here. I have been taking thyroxine since 1982 100/125gm alternate days. In early 2019 I was diagnosed with PMR, which was quite mild, but was treated with steroids. February 2021 I finished

Reflux and hiatus hernia
Hi all, I've had a HH for years and underwent a 3rd endoscopy last year for chest pain but they only found the hernia ( 3cm) For 2 weeks I've had horrible sharp pain just below the sternum and across the epigastric area. Also an increase in the usual cough and feeling of lump in throat. I'm on lanzoprazole

Hi everyone, I hope you've all been well, and have been enjoying the lovely weather we've been having lately. Firstly, I just wanted to say the biggest thank you for all of the supportive words that were left on my last post. I know that I've already made quite a few like them in the past, but the kindness

non-adrenaline anesthesia
Hi all, I know to ask the dentist about having non-adrenaline injections, but I'm due to have a sedated endoscopy tomorrow and wondered if the same applies to injections in the arm? Any idea?

Esophagitus and throat discomfort
Hello everyone, I've had acid reflux and have been on PPIs for years. I recently had an endoscopy and revealed I had a haitus hernia (3cm) and mild esophagitus. The acid reflux has cleared up but I'm left with constant throat discomfort and sore throat sometimes too. I feel it's the esophagitus. Does
