I've had acid reflux and have been on PPIs for years. I recently had an endoscopy and revealed I had a haitus hernia (3cm) and mild esophagitus. The acid reflux has cleared up but I'm left with constant throat discomfort and sore throat sometimes too. I feel it's the esophagitus. Does anyone has any thoughts or advice as it's very wearing.
Thank you

Hi there- I too had a recent endoscopy and they discovered inflammation of the esophagus. I have a constant feeling of a lump in my throat and it’s hard to swallow, sometimes. I’ve been put on Pepcid 40. What were you prescribed?
I have been prescribed Nexium. It's ok, but like yourself I still get the lump in the throat and a frequent sore throat. I have been suffering for a long time now. I've just had a letter with an appointment for an Esophageal Manometry. That's a procedure that lets the hospital know what's going on and how they can devise a treatment plan. How long have you had this complaint?
