colonoscopy prep
hello, I am scheduled to have a colonoscopy and wondered if the preparation medication causes nausea? I have migraine and vertigo which cause nausea already and guess I won’t be able to take medicine for either or the PPI ? Hunger and stress trigger my migraines so I’m concerned the Prep med will make

Infected Nasal Sore
Hi everyone, has anyone ever had a nasal sore become badly infected? I felt I had a sinus infection a few months ago. I went to the chemist and they refused to give me anything, they just said use albas oil inhalation. I tried it did not ease the headache or burning sensation and blocked nose. I have

Endoscopy Experience
Morning, I posted earlier about fretting regarding an upcoming endoscopy and had so many replies that I was quite put at ease and intended to have sedation. However, on the day, I elected to go with the throat spray as I was told that I could stop and have sedation at any time. I managed to get through

Help! Stomach Bug & Holiday!
For over a week I have had some sort of stomach bug with awful pains in the lower stomach, causing loose stools, feeling chilled then hot, with a recurring headache. I contacted my doctor asking for urgent stool tests, as I am due to go on holiday to Spain next Monday, just in case it is a stomach bug

Finally got FibroScan
Some of you may remember I was diagnosed with NASH Cirrhosis on a CT scan a few months ago. I then had a FibroTest which showed F3 fibrosis. After months of waiting I finally had the FibroScan done last week and results are kpa 11.9 which is considered cirrhosis 😞 in NASH patients. I didn’t get a CAP

Has anybody had any experience with an endoscopy?
Following a high fibroscan score I was referred to a liver consultant who wanted me to have another fibroscan last November (which was even higher) and blood tests which were done in March. To date I've heard nothing. Along side this I was also referred for gall bladderproblems. Saw the consultant

what to do if PPIs don’t work?
Had unusual chest discomfort on and off for over 2 years . Had all cardiac tests and diagnosed and recently treated thoracic aortic aneurysm. So it’s not cardiac. As a result had endoscopy that found chronic non cancerous oesophagetis. I have tried all the PPIs going and at different strengths and nothing

Omeprazole and Acid Reflux after Gastroscopy
I have been having digestive issues since May, lots of indigestion, acid reflux, belching etc. It comes and goes, sometimes good, sometime not, I would say I feel unwell 50% of the time. I was referred to a gastroenterologist. I had a colonoscopy last year and all was clear. Gastro decided that I

Colonoscopy prep and low weight - anyone?
Hello folks, So I’m going to be having a colonoscopy at some point soon (still on waiting list) because of an enlarged liver, high calprotectin and IBD symptoms. I am extremely underweight at 43kg (I’m 5’4”) and extremely nervous about doing the prep for the procedure. My consultant muttered something
