Hi Bilbao, I've had a similar diagnoses. Nov 2022 my Endoscopy NHS showed mild atrophic gastritis and a polyp. A biopsy was taken of the polyp came back as Hyperplasia with no inflammation with no further follow up. As I didn't feel satisfied with this outcome I decided to wait and consult a gastroenterologist privately. Forward to October 23 I saw one ,he said there was nothing of concern on the last report but advised me to have another Endoscopy and he would take biopsies from different areas of my stomach. Depending on the outcome of that I may need 3yearly surveillance. Hope this info helps, regardsForgot to say I have a lot of vague stomach discomfort ranging from mild to feeling like I have a fist moving around in there.

I had an endoscopy earlier this year. I wanted to see what damage long term use of PPIs had caused. Taking the drug coincided with the onset of B12D/PA. I was found to have fundic polyps (in my stomach). After some research I was relieved to learn that fundic polyps shrink almost completely after a year or so. What difference this will make remains to be seen. Needless to say I no longer take PPIs and rely on natural remedies, diet and relaxation to mitigate long-standing reflux.

Hi Orchard33, thanks for your reply. It is worrying when you find this out. I haven't been told yet if they will remove them, just got endoscopy yesterday and they didn't say what will happen next. Have a good day

When I asked the consultant about them he said that no action is needed as fundic polyps are benign.

Good to know that the polyps will shrink. Would you share some of the natural remedies you are taking? I can't tolerate PPIs and pepcid is not doing enough. I am awake most nights and don't get enough sleep. I take fennel tea and tincture, dgl did not help, and i take digestive enzymes. I follow a low fat diet and stay away from known reflux triggers.

The only other remedies I take are slippery elm and aloe Vera liquid. These are long term treatments, as are they all. And I've slowed down which isn't too much of an option for those who work.
