Symptomatic with moderate raised platelets
Hi all, is there any correlation between how high your platelets are before you experience symptoms? My platelets are between 500-600 and I seem to be symptomatic. But I’m a complex case as I have ET, had a recent brain tumour removed & recent b12 deficiency so my symptoms could potentially be from any

Pegasys and Blood Pressure Medication
I’ve been put on low dose Ramipril ( an ACE inhibitor ) by my GP nurse practitioner for borderline hypertension. I am also on a high dose 180mcg Pegasys and aspirin for ET. I inquired about drug interaction and she seemed to think it was ok, but on taking my first tablet of Ramipril, I’ve felt awful

How bad does it have to get?
Hi everyone, My haematology appointment for yesterday was cancelled but on Monday I went ahead and did my blood tests, including an extra one for my GP. Last week I joined the Patients' Portal for my hospital and was able to get my results online today. Haem is down to 83 and platelets up to 620 -

Feeling Yukkkk
Hi haven’t been on here for a moan in a little while, but today is one of those days, I have been doing not to bad for a week or two but now I feel rotten again, I’m wondering whether it has anything to do with the new medication I’ve been put on. I’ve just started taking aspirin and statins, has anyone

Baby aspirin?
My fertility clinic has advised me to take baby aspirin. I popped to boots to purchase some, and the pharmacist said that there is no such thing, however they sold me 75mg dose (low). What dosage did you take?

PSA from 0.15 to 2.42 in 12 months; but no metastasis?
Asking advice and thoughts on my situation. I'm 5 years post IMRT to prostate and pelvic LN in 2015. Original PCa diagnosis in 2012 with Gleason 9 (4+5), Stage 4 ('locally advanced', no mets). Three cycles of ADT (4-6 months each) from 2012-2016. From Aug 2019 to Aug 2020 PSA went from 0.15 to 2.42.

Medical Alert Bracelet?
Hello, I was told that I have SLE and more recently, that I also have antiphospholipid syndrome (no symptoms for APS besides lab results). I'm only on Plaquenil and a baby aspirin along with Vitamin C, D, and iron. I'm not sure if I need a medical alert bracelet or not, or if that would be an overreaction

Oh ok, I admit it - not doing all that well the now
So please excuse in advance what will look like a lack of response here, and very short posts elsewhere on the forum. Short although not sweet - I'm fighting off another acute flare of my recurrent pericarditis and am being shoehorned in for an echo tomorrow to check for increased pericardial effusion
