Dispersible aspirin
I would be interested to learn whether any members have been prescribed dispersible aspirin and whether they take anything other than omeprazole as protection for the stomach. Many thanks for any information.

Gout and MPN
I have PV had ET which progressed to PV. I was doing ok and I do see an MPN Specialist. About a week ago my foot was red and swollen right across where all my toes are and hurt. It swells up if I'm on it and it is very painful to walk. I'm starting to think Gout. I do not eat rich foods but I did

Anybody ever heard anything like this before ?
I have been a poor sleeper all my life mainly due to working shifts amongst other things. About 5 years ago I started to have severe night-time heart palpitations which only happened when I went to bed (as if I already wasn't a poor sleeper) these have made my life miserable. I have had every investigation

My third transfer (and first FET) has, unfortunately, turned out to be yet another chemical miscarriage. Here is a quick overview of my journey so far: IVF1: Fresh transfer, 5 day blastocyst - Chemical pregnancy at 4 weeks (on two pessaries a day). IVF2: Fresh transfer, 5 day blastocyst - Chemical pregnancy

Mini stroke
Hi everyone, if you’ve been following my dads story. You know that he’s off the ventilator and that he had his trach removed. His voice is slowly coming back. He moves his left side, his foot and arms and hand. He right side is very, very weak. Because of this, they decided to do a ct scan where they

ET mental impact/symptoms
Hello to all. I am a 49y.o. male, diagnosed with ET (JAK2+) about a month ago (January 2021). Platellets have been relatively stable over 450k (460k-503k) for at least 7yrs now, but otherwise healthy, fit, calm and not taking any medication, so my GP never said that this could be an indication of something

Understanding the vaccine priority
Am I correct in thinking that having had a heart attack and a stent and being 63yrs old, that this will place me in priority group 6 ‘16 - 64yrs - with underlying health conditions? I have always thought it did. I ask your advice on this as my 58yr old sister with no underlying conditions, lives in

Thapsigargin
Thapsigargin is an antiviral medicine that the University of Nottingham has found effective against a number of viruses including the covid. Boy, I tell you, the UK is really on the ball. I read about this on a place called SciTechDaily. The more treatments found, the better. Meanwhile here in the USA

Et and reviews
just wondering how often people with et aspirin only are reviewed. My haematologist is late with my review this time and obviously I understand there are bigger things at the moment like covid but I worry my review will be 2-3 months late

Pharmacy experience
My wife had an interesting experience at a pharmacy yesterday. After being on clopidagrel for 12 months post stenting, it was time for me to switch back to aspirin. She was asked who it was for, normal enough, but when the pharmacist found out I was also on warfarin he stated that no-one would be prescribed
