Pneumonia vaccination
Just wondering if anyone else has been advised NOT to have this vaccination? I have PRV, am 68, take hydroxyea and aspirin. I have no other health issues. A specialist nurse advised me not to have the vaccination and also said that I would have to stop taking the hydroxea for a few weeks if I decided

Very tender neck pain
Hi everyone, I’m still in the process of being diagnosed with Lupus but my consultant is thinking it definitely is some sort of connective tissue problem. This week my joints have flared up a bit but I’m experiencing a severe tender patch on the side of my neck - base of skull. It’s incredibly painful

I first got tested in 2005 and my antibodies were then positive. three months later, they were positive again. I

Another Newbie
Hi everyone, I am a 78 year old male, not diabetic or overweight, and until 3 months ago fairly fit and active for my age. As a result of a GP referral I had an angiogram at my local hospital, but due to severe calcification of my coronary arteries, they were unable to insert any stents. 3 weeks ago

"Novel Treatment"
After my last meeting with the Professor, he suggested we try "high dose aspirin" in combination with alpelisib if we can access the latter. In the mean time I've started on 500mg a day (Disprin) and follow up with the man on Friday. Now I know some of us out there will have a chuckle as you read this

Heck getting older sometimes
Laying here in the ER waiting to be admitted. Had been having pains in my heart last 3 days. One of my side effects from Eliquis is angina but it comes and goes. Not often. But this didn't want to go away. Yesterday I switched my Eliquis for an aspirin. And the pain seemed to get better. But this morning

Hi - I am recently diagnosed with CAS/VA after several years of not getting to the bottom of the chest pressure pain and now taking Diltiazem. (Plus Bisoprolol, Indapimide, Asprin, Losartin and Atovastatin) I seem to get occurrences of chest pain about every 3 months or so for a week or more and then

Should I stop bisoprolol
Hi, I’m am a bit confused. My husband is now 19 weeks post aortic valve replacement. The GP has taken him off of his bisoprolol 1.25 MH this week but I was told that many stay on it for long term after AVR. Also he is on 75 mg of aspirin but the ZgO has stop his lansopranol so I feel maybe he’s at

A new symptom?
Last night in bed approaching sleep my left elbow shot out. In a crowded elevator it would have injured someone. I had no warning, didn't do anything different during the day. When it happened my only thought was, "WTF?" So my question now is, WTF? I've had left arm tremor for nearly 4 years
