Bleeding at 8+2 - Update: Hematoma around gestational sac
Hi ladies, I’m 8+2 today. I had a scan on 7+3 which showed a lovely embryo measuring spot on and with strong and clear heartbeat. I had another scan yesterday (this time I allowed my husband to attend, I was too scared before) and again it was measuring well and looked line a mini human with head, arms

Tinnitus
Hi everyone. Does anyone suffer from tinnitus? I've had it for a few years but at a level that Icould switch off from. At the beginning of March I was prescribed 14 days worth of aspirin 300mg for suspected amaurosis fugax. During this time the tinnitus became really loud all the time, I read that this

Hello, I'm new here... Started our IVF journey beginning of 2022 and failed first frozen embryo transfer in May. Following failed transfer, our doctor mentioned in the call that I could try taking 75mg baby aspirin per day for my next FET cycle. While googling articles about baby aspirin in FET, I

KIR AND HLA incompatibility
Dear all, I would like to ask if anyone has passed through the same situation and what treatment worked for them. I was found to ve KIR AB and HLA C2C2 and partner is HLA C2C2. Our embryos will all be C2C2 and that causes an incompatibility which might hinder implantation. I was recommended aspirin

Exhaustion
I hope someone can relate and perhaps help with a worry of mine. My hubby had a quad bypass in November 2018 aged 67. He recovered quickly and life was (and still is) good. Over the past couple of months, he's getting exhausted when he walks a lot or does manual work like gardening. Since the bypass

The blanking period after ablation
I didn't think it was possible to hate AF more than I did before the ablation. Constantly waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to get a decent night's sleep. It wasn't always like this but it has been getting worse - probably 5-6 times a week. And then an ablation is offered - light

Aspirin/cough med while taking methotrexate
I'll be calling Dr later, but now they're not open yet. My rhuematologist once said I shouldn't take aspirin while on methotrexate, but if I had to, I could take one. Same question for cough medicine.

Morning medication
Hi all, Just wondered if anyone could give me a bit of advice here. I have been on Hydroxy & Asprin for 4 months now and my platelets seem to be doing well, consultants seems happy but as I take my meds in the morning at breakfast I then take a good few hours of feeling very out of sorts, bit unbalanced

Hi all I have ET Jak2+ at 8% platelets 415 diagnosed 2020 and have been taking Hydrea plus aspirin daily. Recently due to side effects of Hydrea my consultant said I could come off the Hydrea for 3 months to see how I felt and then consider retaking it or other options. So have been off Hydrea for

Health Anxiety Sucks
Man I’m telling you. I hate having anxiety so much. I have severe clinical health anxiety and I am always terrified that I have some kind of cancer. Sometimes I go weeks without anxiety episodes and other times it’s a year or more by when it happens it’s really really bad. Just recently I’ve got myself

First Visit With My MPN Specialist!
Oh my goodness! There was no comparison to the level of care I’ve been receiving and what I experienced today. Thank you all so much for encouraging me to see a specialist. Special shout outs to Hunter and EP Guy! I went to UNC Chapel Hill Cancer Hospital. I saw Dr Brandi Reeves. She was amazing

Update from blood test. I had a hemorrhage in the calf after an injury so it may have affected the result. Does anyone have experience with this? One month ago the platelets were 1200. Now they were 800. Before the injury, they were at 1000. No meds, only aspirin. And yes, i have asked my heam. He

Is this a sign of progression from ET to MF?
Hey there, I'm 28yrs old and was diagnosed a year ago with ET. Platelets were around 470 when I was diagnosed and steadily increased to around 720 in February of this year. However, my most recent blood results have shown the platelets drop to 636 and then again down to 520 about 2 weeks later. I am

Stroke Risk From Afib & The Role Of Blood Thinners
I was reluctant to take blood thinners from about the age of 68 to 72. My CHA2DS2Vasc sat at "1" for most of that time until it went to a "2." Actually, my Cardiologist didn't think I needed blood thinners either as I was having infrequent periods of relatively short Afib so he had me on low-dose aspirin

Low heartrate - Bradycardia
Low heart rate - Bradycardia I had heart surgery twice for an Ascending Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm in April 2019 twice and spent a month in hospital. I had bouts of Afib during my stay and was put on Amiodarone for around 4 months this was later changed to a small dose of Bisoprolol - 1.25 mg per day
