New to hearing loss - Help
Hi, I am new here and to hearing loss. I have moderately severe hearing loss. I didn't want a hearing aid when first diagnosed (too upset) so struggled on. Due to mask wearing I am finding it so much more difficult to hear people. I am now back on NHS waiting list for audiology appointment. Due

Actavis Levothyroxine versus Accord
Hi all, hope you are all keeping safe. It's a while since I posted. I have Hashis, and have only been able to tolerate Actavis. But Accord have taken them over, and I think moved to India. (That is what I read). My problem is, for the past 5 weeks I have been taking my Levothyroxine, thinking it was

Tinnitus in ears after suctioning.
Hi, I had a nasty ear infection in late November followed by inflammation in the ears and an ear wax build up. I’ve got rid of the infection and the ear wax but I work have a ringing in my ears. Doctors said it should go away but I’m full of anxiety which is definitely making it worse. I’ve had the ringing

Alien limb or primitive hand to mouth reflex?
My mother who has PSP/CBD is affected on her right side which does not move much. Today her right hand slowly floated up and she put her index fingertip in her mouth between her teeth. Fortunately she didn’t actually bite it. I don’t think she has a toothache and nothing seems to be hurting on her finger

How were you diagnosed?
Hi, brand new to this site. Been suffering with dizziness and vertigo for a while on and off now. This got worse over Christmas, where I’ve now developed intermittent tinnitus (pulsatile and, erm, ‘regular!’), headaches and deafness. More worryingly, left side of face under eye been numb and tingly.

W6R3 Problems!
Hi Everyone! First time posting but I've been a silent scroller for a while, following all your brilliant advice! I've managed to get to W6R2 and have thoroughly enjoyed myself along the way! But I've suddenly hit a stumbling block. I tried to complete the programme a few years ago and ended up stopping

Hearing
Hi all, this may be a totally ridiculous question/thought. A couple of years ago I got some hearing aids as I had a definate loss in my overall hearing. I stopped wearing them after I managed to lose a couple when removing my mask when out (previous post). However my question is, since being diagnosed

What causes sudden hearing loss in one ear? Then it comes back..
Hi Folks! Posting this for my wife who is ironically an Audiologist. She gets like every 6 months hearing loss in the left ear suddenly that lasts a couple days then comes back. She also told me that she had Tinnitus for a long time..many years... She had a coworker test her since they are Audiologists

Pulsatile Tinnitus Query.
I have pulsatile tinnitus 24/7. Was referred to a hospital Doctor from my own surgery for an assessment. Taken the hearing test and all ok. With it being "pulsatile" should I have undergone further tests? The Doctor said "tinnitus can pulsate sometimes but there is nothing to be done; no surgery or

Baby stopped growing...missed MC
Hard to believe. I had convinced myself fully there would be a heartbeat. I did everything right, the acupuncture, worked less, tried to remain positive inspite of all the anxiety each of us live through. I received affirmations from people I barely knew, the nurses at my doctors office, that things

My Thyroid Story Part II
Dr OPQ, GP/homeopath So, after lengthy chats with one of my students, who was a great fan of homeopathy, I thought I’d give that a go. Not much choice of doctors where I live, but managed to find one that also did acupuncture, which was a bonus. To his credit, he did say straight up that he didn’t know

Not feeling great ..
I don’t really know the purpose of this post except that I feel I need to get how I feel off my chest before I burst. It’s ironic, I’m quite capable of telling people that it’s okay to feel a certain way about whatever situation they’re in yet I can’t accept my own advice. I had a miscarriage in March
