I have just been prescription Prochlorperazine by my Rheumatologist to help with nausea after taking MTX. Does anyone out there have any comments on this medication.

I take them for nausea with codeine so they may also help when I've had my MTX I never thought about it before. I don't get as sick these days with MTX so maybe they do help with that as well 🤷♀️
It's a first line treatment for labrynthitis and can be used to treat nausea. It can be very successful in some patients. All I'd say is that you will know quite quickly if it works or not. If it's not helping then do go back to your GP because there are other anti-emetics out there.
It works ok for me.Ihad the type that you put it under the tongue.
Thank you Bootoo, happytulip and Oshgosh. Much appreciated.
I’m allergic to prochlorperazine. So am prescribed Ondansetron for nausea.
I have it for BPPVertigo but it doesn't work fast and it is difficult as the brain gets used to it so only take the minimum and try stopping asap. It works for dizziness and nausea but be careful of it. My GP warned me that it can prolong vertigo as it stops the brain recovering. Hope that helps.
