sub-cutaneous vs. intra-muscular
I am going to check in again here about sub-cutaneous vs. intramuscular injections. My PCP is insisting I need todo IM injecting (“hydroxy should always be IM”) but here I find many do sub-cutaneous and I think I would be very scared to do IM. My husband could probably do it but it still scares me.

Reducing Tirosint Dose One Day/Week - Feeling Bad
Hi, I've been on 88mcg of Tirosint for a year and felt better than I have in years. My recent labs were: TSH - .029 (range .4 - 4.5) Free T4 - 1.34 (range .8 - 1.80) My endocrinologist wants to lower my dose from 88 mcg of Tirosint to 75 mcg/day. I was resistant since I finally feel good, so he

Opiods after stopping Rpinerol?
I finished taking Ropinerol about a week ago (gradually reducing the dose) but I'm still hardly getting any sleep and gabapentin isn't making any difference (I'm spacing out the dose 1200mg over several hours). I'm also taking a high strength valerian tablet and have tried CBD/THC too. Nothing seems

A PRACTICAL GUIDE TO UNDERSTANDING KAPLAN-MEIER CURVES
If you don't want to get a headache or confused (like me) don't read this post. I read it because I'm a masochist. And the reason I put it here is because I'm a sadist.👹👹 On the topic - most of us who like to read publications and dig deeper (according to our capabilities) constantly encounter data

Pain management alternatives
“Things I learned along the way” … in the event this may help others, I thought I’d share … If you or your loved one is struggling a great deal with pain, you may want to consider 1) having a pain pump placed 2) acupuncture. As my Jeff’s pain became harder to manage with his drug regimen, we were referred

PA, vertigo, and gaming
This may be weird question, but I'm a gamer. I play video games. I suffer from vertigo but it never affected my gaming. Suddenly, I can't play certain games. I get very sick. I got vertigo so bad playing Mario Cart, I was in bed for 5 days. Dizzy, nauseous, sweating, lethargic. It was crazy

Coping with working full time with PMR
I've read many helpful suggestions on this site on how to manage a heavy workload and PMR. I have a demanding job with a lot of responsibility. I have sought to balance my symptoms (heavy, heavy harness, brain fog, fatigue and reduced confidence) with work for the past few months, with varying degrees

Hello all Haven't posted for a while as generally, things OK ish. Had a few ups and downs with the HRT but seems to be good at the moment and overall a benefit to my various UIA related issues. By no means a cure. Still on hydroxyc. which is still keeping the Raynaud's at bay and I do feel fewer flare

Hey all, So the last time I messaged you all I was discussing how I started acupuncture due to being diagnosed with PCOS and after my second session I found out yesterday I'm pregnant!!!! It only took a year!! I would highly recommend it for those who have not tried it! I'm overwhelmed with happiness

Wondering about Betadine/Povidone-Iodine solution and Thyroid
Hello all, I am preparing for a vacation - something long overdue :-) In my preparations, I decided I needed to bring along a nasal "mist" that would essentially decontaminate my nose from any yucky stuff, viruses - covid or whatever else may be lurking. I just realized that this solution has iodine

What is CVS? (Has nothing too do with MS))
Because I can't seem to do anything half way, let me explain alittle bit what CVS is .1 st? It's Not the drug store! It's not 😂 it stands for Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome. It's horrible! I would not wish it on any one! I still sleep on the couch because of it... I wake up every morning panicked because

Acupuncture in "Chapter 26: Traditional Chinese Medicine: a "hidden" wonder behind a different vision".
Electro-
acupuncture
appears to be very effective. Also
acupuncture
applied to the
ear
or head (Liu 1974, Lee 2013). Once again, we recommend the classic text by neurologist González Maldonado, "Heterodox treatments in Parkinson's disease".
