Tinnitus comes and goes on a four day cycle.
I am experiencing bad tinnitus since I had my second AstraZeneca jab. I think it us linked to a strange sensation I experienced three weeks before the jab, a sudden intense dizzy spell lasting five seconds whilst sitting down which I thought might be a precursor of a stroke. Anyway my tinnitus comes

Sodium Butyrate: Neuroprotective effects of short-chain fatty acids in MPTP induced mice model of Parkinson's disease 2021
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33905875/ Gut microbial metabolites, SCFAs, were related with the occurrence and development of Parkinson's disease (PD). But the effects of different short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) on PD and involving mechanisms are still undefined. In this study we evaluate the effects

Do unilateral tinnitus and High Frequency loss means I have AN?
I have been experiencing unilateral tinnitus on left ear for the last 7 months and at my audiology appointment, I learned I have high frequency loss (I did not know i had). I will have an MRI Wednesday but i think it is usual diagnostic methodology. I do not have any other symptoms like dizziness, vertigo

Zytiga - Abiraterone - To take or not to take right now
Greetings; I have been avidly reading a lot of the posts on prostate cancer. They have provided invaluable information on the way I have made decisions with my treatment. My wife is a profesional nurse so I do have a heads up on research and the blessing of working as a team to prolong our lives together

My 3 weeks old daughter is deaf from both ears: heartbroken 💔
We found out on Thursday that our precious 3 weeks old baby is deaf from both ears….we are DEVASTATED by this news and currently waiting for a further appointment to understand the extent of the issue and how to support her. Cochlear implants have been mentioned so I’m assuming she is having sensorineural

Access to food
I can’t drive any more because of sight loss, also have profound hearing loss so shops are too difficult to access. Have had home delivery for years and the pickers always select the best produce as if they were choosing their own. I didn’t select organic but always get organic apples and other things

Continuous Headache
Has anyone had, what seems like, a never-ending headache/migraine with their tinnitus? I am new to this condition, both started within a couple of days, 3 months ago. No painkillers seem to work on the headache. Has anyone any tips for me, please. Thank you.

We always have the subtitles on but they are often frustratingly out of sync. We are looking to update our soundbar and if anyone

Tinnitus x tinnitus = tinnitus^2?
Hello, My first post here. I've had moderate tinnitus for a few years now. It was something I was beginning to handle. Last week I visited my ENT specialist who used micro-suction to clear both my ears. About two days after, I developed a very different tinnitus: much louder, a lower frequency, that

Thoughts on Acupuncture
I wondered what people thought of acupuncture. I ask because I have been in the most dreadful place with pain from muscles to the point last week where I literally couldn't walk after getting up with the muscle spasms and the pain shot to the top. I have been under a physio on the NHS and could not

Tinnitus for over 30 years
I have had tinnitus for over 30 years and have struggled for a long time with it and for the most part have coped with it. However at the beginning of December 2020 I picked up a virus and my tinnitus became rampant far louder than I have ever had. Add that to frequent giddiness and pounding headaches

Hello My name is Ian and I'm 52. Just joined today looking for some support and hope. My tinnitus started 2 montgs ago, I think as a result of hearing loss due to hammering without ear defenders, although it was a couple of months afterwards that the tinnitus started. I also still have ear discomfort
