Back to square one
So i had a bad reaction to ‘pregabalin’ (which was not making a difference to my pain anyway!) ‘gabapentin’ no success either. Last one i have to try on the pain specialist’s advice is ‘duloxetine’ but it’s part of the same family as the previous 2 drugs so I’m not holding my breathe. I am currently

Medication enquires
I have had lupus for 30+ years, I did have a rheumatologist but he’s now retired. My dr thinks because my main issues are pain management. I’ve tried probably almost everything, but for the last 8 years been on oramorph which helped 75% of the pain but now because scientists are saying it’s not beneficial

Do many people with copd take antidepresants? As my copd has now progressed to very severe stage and I also have osteoporsis and a deviated septum my anxiety levels have risen. Then a close friend of over 60 years died suddenly and I am in pieces. Have oramorph and did have some lorazipam but did not

Medication and general care concerns
Hello to all. I was diagnosed with having a degenerative disease of my lumbar spine back in July 2011. Which has been life changing. When I say I have had all treatments I really have. I have been through and exhausted the pain clinics on two occasions. I have had extensive Physiotherapy, Accupunture

Has anyone else ever wondered about the oramorph and lorazepam which we are sometimes given. In both cases it says that you should not take it if you suffer from breathing difficulties and am wondering whether this is the reason I am feeling even more out of breath than usual this morning though I slept

Lap confirmed Endo and what appears to be cyclical hand pain?
Hi all, Long time since I have posted but a little baffled by my latest symptoms and looking to see if anyone can relate to me. Diagnosed with stage 3 endo in 2009 at 24. Have been on prostap which helped many years ago. I am on 20mg MST BD and oramorph for breakthrough pain. This is a massive step

Sick and tired of being sick and tired!
Hello ladies I just need to rant because I'm so tired of everything! I fell asleep at 4am and woke up at 5am. And just going in and out of sleep but I've had oramorph and some cocodamol! I've had a hot water bottle the whole time but I've been throwing up and just in excruciating pain. I'm too scared

Pain in side?
I have had severe pain in my right side for 8 months or so. Had CT scan during admission but as always my lungs to precedence. Seen pain management in February after scan showed tiny impact fracture. But it's not that. I do have lots of bone pain and may have another nerve block. This pain is at waist

Chronic Migraine
Hi, I am waiting to hear back from a different hospital than my usual one on starting the injection Aimovig for my chronic migraine. Due to covid-19 and all appointments being cancelled I probably won't hear back until this is all over and hospital appointments start back up. I am currently using oramorph

Pain relief
I am currently taking oramorph (4 x 5ml daily) i have tried other painkillers such as naproxen, codene, co-codamol etc but they don’t come close to touching my pain. I have been taking oramorph on and off for the last 5 years. I don’t want to continue taking it but i cannot manage my pain without it.

Sciatica treatment
Hello, this is my first post and I hope you can help. Five weeks ago I was prescribed Oramorph for Sciatica. This has messed up my whole sleep pattern. I am getting 2 to 3 hours of broken sleep. (Usually a good 8 hours). The pain is now manageable with Naproxen and Paracetamol so I have come off

Pain Relief. :(
Hello Ladies, Hope your all well. Just a quick question. But have any of you been put on oramorph for period pains. Just wondering if it took your period pains away. Up to now I've taken 7.5ml. And I'm still in a lot of pain. Sam ❤

I’m in so much pain
I’m in so much pain and don’t know what to do. I’ve got sharp, stabbing pains on the left hand side of my abdomen which is radiating into my shoulder, hip, back and thigh. I’ve taken oramorph, ibuprofen and paracetamol and got a hot water bottle. I don’t know what else to do and I don’t want to call

Pain specialist
Has anyone here seen/been under a pain specialist? I have been accepted and i am currently on the (very long) waiting list. What sort of relief can they offer? Im currently on oramorph but would like to come off that if i can find something that is more effective.
