I am currently taking oramorph (4 x 5ml daily) i have tried other painkillers such as naproxen, codene, co-codamol etc but they don’t come close to touching my pain. I have been taking oramorph on and off for the last 5 years. I don’t want to continue taking it but i cannot manage my pain without it. I have a telephone appointment with a pain specialist next week and just wondered if anyone else is under a pain specialist and take something different to oramorph...I just want a bit of an idea what to expect and what might work etc.

Hi there, I think that Oramorph is liquid morphine and I've nly heard of it used as a back up with other pain relief. But have you tried Longtec? I take quite a high dose of this and it does work for my pain. Ask your pain specialist about it. Good luck. I do hope that she can come up with something that will help you.
All the best.
