Lap done, next steps...
I had my first laparoscopy on Thursday to remove endometriomas from both ovaries, check my tubes and the extent of my endometriosis. My surgeon was there when I came around and as I was still very 'out of it' just said it had all gone well & he'd come and see me the next day with more details. As

Hello 2AM, we really must stop meeting like this !
It is one of those nights where I'd love to go to sleep, however my weary corpse has other ideas. It is having a wonderful time creating the feeling of pneumatic drills in my legs, attempting to make my shoulders touch my ears and creating the sensation of an ice pick ramming it's way into the right

Does this ever go away? Or get better?
I have suffered from autoimmune disease since I was born and have endured massive pain before but it was in waves, so I had times of peace. We moved to Cornwall in September 2012 and I was very stressed and anxious at the time. As the days wore on I felt iller and iller with intense lower back pains

What medication works for your pain?
My partner recently had an SAH and they operated to clip the bleed. 2 weeks after the operation he came home but had to go back in because he was experiencing too much pain. He has now been in hospital for another week and is still taking oramorph. The doctor has said that as soon as he is able to cope

i'm new and feeling desperate!
hi all, I have come to the stage where I need support for what I am going through. Friends have been helpful but they don't understand and are sure to be fed up listening to me going on and on. I have more or less been in pain since August. The year before I also went through a few months of pain. This

Why is the pain back
Why is my hip killing me again, it was only a few days ago I was worried that I had problems withdrawing from oramorph as I wasn't taking it very often as my pain levels had gone down But the pains are back not only in hip but also fingers, wrists, shoulders, back and knees. I feel very fed up as

The best laid plans of mice and men as they say
I've been off work sick since 14th january with my back. The GP has now managed to bring the worst of the pain under control with morphine. I take 20mg time release capsules twice a day and top up with oramorph. So although it's not taken away the pain and weakness in total it's enough that I can just

When to take Mefanamic Acid
My Gynae prescribed me Mefanamic Acid back in December, have only just got them, very long story, and not sure when I take them. Do you take them at the start of your period, or do you take them all the time for pain? I am not due to see her again until mid April, but am on waiting list for Lap

Am I suffering from morphine withdrawal
Help, I have been taking both MST and Oramorph for the past two to three months and I am worried I have already formed some kind of dependence on them. I think I was having what everyone calls a flare and my pain has been pretty uncontrollable for the last few months hence taking so much pain killers

Devastated after GP appointment - what do I do now?
I deliberately don't see the GP often - it takes a month to get an appointment sometimes and the guy I'm registered to isn't exactly helpful, so I just get my prescriptions on repeat and stay away. I really had to make an appointment though - I needed to talk to someone about how bad my fatigue is at

I love looking at the snow , but my pain levels are through the roof !
I know the snow looks pretty, but I haven't gone out in it, I have just turned the heating up and while sitting I have a blanket over me. I am sure if I was to go out I would fall, my balance is soo bad I fall without the ice!!! But the pain in my leg/ hip and in my hands/ fingers are the worst I can

MCTD/Lupus and lower back pain - sacroilliac joints apparently! Is this as good as it gets?
I think I'm generally quite lucky that my mixed connective tissue disease is relatively under control. As I've had it explained to me, it's a mix of Lupus and Rheumatoid arthritis basically with the same general treatment as Lupus so I'm on 400mg plaquenil plus 400mg pregabalin for fibromyalgia and

What's wrong with me....
I have not been told officially that I have got fibro but my GP has said that this is what he believes that I have got L. A lot of you talk about a fibro fog i would like to hear more about it as I thought I was just slowly losing my mind . To say i just forget things would be an understatement, i
