Sapphire Clinics
Just arranged my first consultation with sapphire clinics tomorrow (Thursday) but starting to wonder if I've done the right thing. I've never actually read anywhere that THC /cannabis oil has helped anybody with their restless legs. At £50 for the consultation and £70-£100 for the oil it's money that

Sjogren's and eyes
I suffer with sjogren's and have been seen by many eye Dr's at my local hospital that is Addenbrooke's Cambridge. The last Dr I saw told me I had tried everything I could try. My eye's have been reasonably good on very calm days but a windy day upsets them and now the colder weather. The thought

You know the situation: it’s five in the morning and there’s no chance of sleep. I can’t be the only person who ends up writing for help because there is nothing else to do while waiting for the dawn. The story so far: initially, like many of you I took Pramipexole, which allowed me to sleep, although

Saw eye dr today for yearly visit
And when I was reading the lines when she askes which is better, which is worse, I couldn't make out the bottom line because it was so blurry. Turns out, I have early cattaracts that are right in my line of vision. I will eventually need cataract removal surgery. I am in my mid 40s. The eye dr said

Monopost and Hydrosan
I have OHT and have been using Monopost for several months. I have been using Vaseline around my eyes but they now have a sunken appearance and dark circles. My eyes are dry overnight and in the morning after using the drops. I have recently suffered with a sore eye and ear infection after using Hydrosan

Cataract surgery with AMD
I have injections in both eyes for wet macular degeneration. Left eye has scar tissue caused by retinal tear. Am having cataract surgery on 23rd October in right eye first. I am short sighted and have agreed to have sight corrected at same time. I am now worried about wisdom of this as think it will

Fenofibrates
Someone asked if Dr. Jones' book mentioned the use of fenofibrates.... yes, it does in several places. This might be a good book to have if you are considering using them. He is the leading expert on PBC. Hope it helps... The subject is discussed in the chapter for 'Treatment of PBC'. Many have been

Normal Pressure Glaucoma
I have suspected Normal Pressure Glaucoma and have been prescribed single use Monopost eye drops. I have been putting them in for about three weeks and since then I have been having mild headaches. The pressure in my left eye is 9 and in my right eye 10. Because I am a type 1 Diabetic I have an eye

Biotin and ESR/CRP Testing
Good evening. I have been taking supplements - AdCalD3 (of course!), Vit K2, VitB complex magnesium glycerine/malate and fish oil - fairly religiously since starting on pred. To help with hair/skin/bone thinning, I have also taken collagen and biotin. I was alarmed to discover tonight that biotin can

Dry eyes
Hi helpful warriors I am on 35 mg of pred for next 2 weeks, then tapering to 30. Does pred cause dry eyes? ( did have cataract removal surgery in June of 2023.) Since diagnosis of GCA in late July 2023 I have had very dry eyes. I am on Thealoz Duo drops (3% Trehalose, 0.15 Sodium Hyaluronate).

Heat pads
After getting rid of pramipexole using kratom, I continued on kratom as it turned out to be quite effective keeping the jittering down. I don't know if it is the cold weather or tolerance to kratom, but RLS is rearing it's ugly head again. The symptoms are disruptive but nothing like the horror I experienced

Newly Diagnosed with RSL and trying to get my head around it!
In the space of a week I have gone from a sane and active older lady to a sleep deprived zombie, unable to grasp how this diagnosis, which sounds relatively innocuous, is about to disrupt and change my life and I'm struggling to come terms with the prospect of living with what I can only describe as

No more spaghetti or jelly legs!
I recently posted a question just prior to my neurology visit about my gate being off and got some really good answers however after visiting my neurologist I was put on a medication called ampyra. You have to get it from a specialty pharmacy and my copay is 47$ a month but it is ms specific. It takes

Hello: I’m a little worried about having cateract surgery as I like most have tremor or dyskinesia. The doctor asked could I be still. Funny. Anyone experience this? Any thoughts? Thanks.

I make trying to suppress EBV a leg of my supplement strategy.
I replied to a comment with this comment, then decided to share it as a post also:
As somebody who has been exposed to EBV (mono), I make trying to suppress EBV a leg of my supplement strategy. I need to write up everything I think helps with EBV, but here is a short list: -
Lactobacillus

Who has had cataract surgery with a bleb?
So as is the way with this condition, you cruise for a while then your eyes decide they do not wish to play ball! So basically I’ve been noticing a decrease in clarity with my right eye. The Glaucoma clinic doesn’t think I’m an urgent case so I’m waiting till November where I will see a nurse 😒.

Haemolysis
Hi all. Sent for Monitor my Health blood test for TSH, T4+T3. Sent 1st thing Tues am. Only got a response Thurs pm to say test received. Could the delay by Royal Mail have resulted in Haemolysis? My first test in May went thru no probs, other than getting enough blood. This time, after all the tips I
