LDN - has anyone here used it?
Hi Everyone....Remember me? I am the one on 360-450 mcg of T3 and still severely hypo. So I came across an article on Lyme disease; it stated that the inflammation caused by Lyme's can block or downregulate T3 receptors. Not saying that I have Lyme (although it has been suggested that I check) but rather

Viral Meningitis: Your Ideas
Hi Everyone We are just starting to put together our plans for the coming year. One area we are keen to focus on is viral meningitis. As many of you know, only too well, viral meningitis is often misunderstood by others. This is where we would really appreciate your ideas to help us plan our next steps

Viral Menigitis
4 weeks ago my husband was diagnosed with viral meningitis. He is a very active guy and has always taken such good care of himself, he is an avid runner and just started competing in triathlons. We have a 19 month old beautiful baby girl and he is afraid of how much time he is going to miss out on

Shingles
I have shingles at the moment and am feeling dreadful. Can anyone out there tell me how long it is likely to last. The trouble is that because I feel so rotten it has made me feel so depressed as well. Doesn't time drag when you feel rotten?!!!!!

This is going to be a moan full of selp pity, so feel free to skip right over it. After Monday's crappy run I took Tuesday and Wednesday off from running, and feeling on top of the world I set off today on my speed interval. Following warm-up I jogged gently for one km, and then did intervals with 1

I'm back now. ... More bad news for me.
Sorry I've not been on here for a few days but my fibro has flared up and I'm stuff as a brush in the mornings, headaches, painful fingers (I screamed in pain on Friday morning using the car indicator - that's not right) and sooooooo tired. But I found a rash last Tuesday in my back. Thought I'd

Headache caused by Meningitis as a baby
I had meningitis as a baby, and I'm 25 years old now. I can't really remember whether the headaches were that bad during primary school, but I remember it like yesterday that during secondary school the headaches got really bad, and up until today its constant and never ending. It would start slow at

Ultrasound on Friday & Ankle Inflammation is currently high
I've not posted for a while so thought i'd make a bit of an update. My feet and ankles hurt a lot currently and I have 3 egg size swellings that are very clearly visible. This is good I feel, as I have an ultrasound scan booked for Friday and if I can visibly see the swellings, then the ultrasound should

Inflammation and pain relief tips needed!
Afternoon all! Does anyone else have an issue with inflammation and pain where the ribs meet the spine and sternum? It's been driving me nuts for the past few months! Any hints on pain relief would be very welcome. I can't take NSAID's in any form, paracetamol doesn't seem to metabolise very well

Intro
Hi everyone. I'm new to this site. I contracted streptococcal meningitis in December 2013. I was in hospital for 17 days then went into rehab for 4 weeks. I am now waiting to go back into rehab. The meningitis resulted in me being deaf in my left ear. My balance is impaired hence I cannot walk unaided

Hip pain - thigh bone out of socket.
When in flare I wake every morning like the Tin Man. Yesterday my right hip didnt stop hurting or loosen up through the day. This morning I had to get up quickly and help my son who was having a sudden and bad nose bleed, and my right hip clicked loudly. I was glad at first as I thought it may have gone

Vaccination - MMR
Hi there, My granddaughter had a live vaccine of MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella) yesterday. We were planning a family dinner tonight. Does anyone know if that's OK, with CLL?
