Long term side effects of Listeria Meningitis and the DWP
Not quite sure how to word this. I had meningitis in 2005. Initially suffered total memory loss, spent 10 weeks in hospital, had to learn to walk/breath etc again. And couldn't and still cannot remember a lot of things. I, for this day cannot remember the affection for the girlfriend I had at the time

Does Hydroxychloroquine make you feel down?
Five months since first symptoms. Was doing fine controlling RA with just the HXQ and occasional NSAIDS. Then a week ago caught a heavy cold, symptoms flared up and I now feel very down and anxious. This is very unlike me as normally positive and upbeat person who keeps everyone else going. I've read

Fatigue four years post viral meningitis
Hi there, I had viral meningitis on October 2012. I am currently working full time in the education area. I am experiencing some crushing fatigue and brain malfunctioning at different times. Usually when I am not so busy so the adrenaline doesn't keep me going. I have suffered chronic migraines post

Imbruvica issue?
I have been taking Imbruvica for 7 months. I do not have a rash but I get sores that start off looking like fire ant bites. Anyone else have this? I am still trying to figure out if this is due to Imbruvica or something else. I just stopped taking the Imbruvica to see if the sores go away. Thanks in

Meningitis.
I was only 17 when I was diagnosed, to others this may not mean much to others. But for me it means the last 4 years I've lost a social life, friends and relationships because of meningitis. My symptoms are recurring, daily headaches, vomiting, hot/cold flushes, I even suffer with being deaf in one ear

Shingles?
HI, I was diagnosed with PMR over a year ago and have been doing very well with very slow reductions of pred. I have felt very well in myself. I now have a pain in my back. Waist height, right hand side. A niggle for a few days, then it became much worse. A deep dull constant ache, not sharp. It

Bacterial meningitis sufferer
I am now home resting from a bout of bacterial meningitis. I was in the hospital for 8 days. They said if I hadn't come in the day I did I would have died the next day! Great news to hear! This happened after a few surgeries on my back which included putting in and taking out a spine pain pump. This

Huge Boil And then Meds Dispensed. Rant!
I have a rapidly expanding boil on my neck. I visited a friend in hospital yesterday and hope I haven't picked up a nasty, or passed it on. I did the scrupulous handwasking on the way in and out, and she has no open wounds but insisted kindly I tucked my freezing hands under her dressing gown. Then

I'm as stiff as a flipping stiff thing!
Not nearly as much pain now, but oh my word I'm stiff. I can't take nsaids anymore, but they kind of helped with stiffness. POOP! That's what I have to say this morning. 😡 POOP!! I did see these doggie friends with their hoomins this morning, and I'm wearing my sparkly socks, so that's good! 😊 SiiiiT

Chronic gut problems: some relief!
Hello folks I was diagnosed last year with diverticula disease, after suffering from chronic diarrhoea, and stomach pain for over a year. I was surprised by the diagnosis as I eat a plant based diet. To be fair, I have also eaten crap! Anyway, for the past few months I've increased intake fermented foods

Traumatic shoulder injury 14 months ago, constant pain and discomfort ever since :-(
Hi everyone, I hope you are all well. I thought I would tell my story, for reassurance, information and for support. 14 months ago I stupidly injured my left shoulder whilst at work, lifting a heavy piece of equipment one handed. I lifted the equipment in a sharp, upwards jerking motion and heard a
