If you've followed my "vitamin posts" the last 2 months you know that I'm involved with a Florida law firm which is preparing to file a lawsuit against several Amazon vitamin sellers for... FRAUDULENTLY claiming their supplements are: "MADE IN THE USA."
TODAY I got this reply from one of the vitamin sellers on Amazon ...
I know lots of members here are using the B1 vitamin protocol of Dr. Constantini.
Well this Amazon seller's product is called: BENFOTIAMINE which is a B1 vitamin that can cross the blood brain barrier.
Clearly on the Amazon page this is advertised as: MADE IN THE USA.
So I emailed the company this question:
"What percentage of the INGREDIENTS within this supplement are SOURCED entirely WITHIN the USA?"
(This is the FIRST TIME I've gotten this HONEST reply -- which of course NEGATES their claim on their Amazon page, right?)
The company's reply today:
"Yes, all final manufacturing and safety testing takes place in the United States. However, some raw materials are simply not manufactured in the US by anyone so in this case we do need to source from China as it is the only country that makes it."
That the US cannot supply most raw materials has been told to you several times, so I don't understand your outrage. Nor are your unsubtle generalisations about source countries ok. You may have a preference for local products, but to pretend that raw materials and agriculture in the US are ecologically sound and free of contaminants and toxins is new to me. Maybe you should put your focus on that before you judge others.
I never said that we can TRUST products made in the USA ... But ... because they ARE in the USA we know as consumers we can more easily FIND THEM and SUE them in court if their products are FAKE or injure us ... which is what I am doing RIGHT NOW with a law firm I have hired in Florida ...
Are you presuming that "made in the USA" protects us from contaminants or false label claims? If so, might I steer you to Consumer Lab which routinely does reports to the contrary. We need to be choosey of all supplements

They are NOT.
The FDA has specific guidelines and regulations for ANYTHING advertised as "MADE IN THE USA."

But, why not, instead, sue to FDA to require they enforce rules re contaminates and accurate labeling against all violators because in substance, the issue is contamination and accurate labeling more than knowing the location of the manufacturer?
Frankly, "Made in America," per se, provides no reassurance to me.
Consumer Lab is transparent about their outsourcing their testing, I am satisfied they are generally reliable.

You don't "sue" the FDA to enforce its rules ... (unless you have MILLIONS of dollars and LOTS of time to WASTE...)
You sue the vitamin manufacturer ... and AMAZON ... directly.
That's what I'm doing.
And ... Recently this company on Amazon had to pay an $800,000 fine for advertising its "wrist ban" as "Made in Austria" when it was really made in... CHINA!
to be honest coming from New Zealand I avoid products made in the US as I don’t believe them to be safe. Particularly foods which could contain GMOs or animal products fed grains instead of grass. And grains which are likely to be glyphosate contaminated.
I think so long as they are quality tested I think you probably have worse things to worry about on your plate every night for dinner.
I was just wondering what had happening to this guy. He was posting almost constantly But has disappeared. I wonder if he was finally diagnosed with something else.
