How can type 2 diabetes be cured?
I found this article and thought it would be useful tips for all of us. Type 2 diabetes can be reversed and cured, but, in order to understand how it can be reversed, you need to understand how type 2 diabetes starts. Our pancreas makes a hormone which is known as insulin. Insulin is responsible for

Nearly There
I started my weight loss journey mid May when I recorded my weight as 14 stone 13 lb. I have been gradually putting weight on for many years partly due to drinking lots of beer in pubs where I often play and sing. (Free beer is part of my payment. ) Obviously COVID-19 has stopped me working now. Like

"High-Fat" or "Healthy-Fat"
It's often said on HU that this approach should be called "Healthy-Fat". Though the fats we eat should be healthy, I think "Low-Carb High-Fat" is the right name. A name doesn't need to explain every tiny aspect of the plan, just enough to show what it is. Once you cut the carbs, you either go low calorie

How to safely drink fluids with Ascites
Hello, I have a dear loved one with Ascites and he asked me to post a question to others about their experiences with drinking fluids such as water, juices, electrolyte solutions, etc. Since he has to follow a low sodium diet and restrict fluid intake, can anyone share what kinds of fluids they drink

2 months into Preds and noticeable increase in thirst?
I am now into my second month of treatment (20mg Preds, was 15mg) and have notices that I have become continually thirsty. Symptoms like when you start a light cold. The aches and pains have almost disappeared since moving up to 20mg Pred per day which I now take in 2 doses, 15mg morning, 5mg 23hrs

Still walking and now doing The Fast 800
Hello from locked down France. Just wanted to update you and say I am still walking. I realised today that I am building new neural pathways to overwrite the old I can't walk very far messages. We started out this morning and I felt I'd probably manage just a short walk. By the time we got back I'd

I'm wanting to know what foods not to eat when I have Diabetes 2, should I stay off ?? should I eat ?? 14 year old son constipation
My son is 14 and is autistic. He is constantly pooing small amounts at a time. He is on Cosmocol as he has constipation. He leaks as well in his pants. He was disimpacted on the advice of bowel nurse. He had 4 sachets and it made him sick and he was unwell in it. Although it did seem to do the job.

Soul food: chicken and waffles
I gather this is a classic American southern/soul food dish. I have never had it, but enjoyed a keto version this evening. It was delicious. The elements were a sweet syrup made with erythritol (an ingredient I tried for the first time today), chicken "breaded" in pork scratchings, and keto waffles,
