Pendulum
My father takes this glucose control (he is not diabetic) for Akkeansia and asked me if he should continue. I feel confused with all the latest research on gut microbiome. Does anyone here have any input? His doctor does not answer these questions. My father also asked me if pendelum could mask his PSA

This gives an indication as to why T4 monotherapy does not satisfactorily restore carbohydrate response
This is interesting in that it combines T4 monoterapy and carbohydrate response. could be a clue as to why patients on T4 only can have difficulty losing weight. Ag

Sugar in urine but not GD?
So I had two GTT tests that were normal at 28 weeks, after which I had a +2 in my urine so I had another GTT test at 32 weeks which was also normal. I then had a trace on the next check then again a +2, then a normal reading. However they still wanted to check so now I’m doing 4x daily blood prick tests

Total exhaustion
I am feeling that I can't go on like this much longer with this absolute and total exhaustion. Thought maybe some glucose, in the form of tablets, would help. Took them when I was doing my last exams - that was a few, or more, years ago ! Any ideas folks?

Adrenal support via a vitamin
Hi everyone - I have just been re-visiting something I had forgotten and used many years ago when I was under so much stress and not diagnosed with thyroid problems. Vitamin B5 - this powerful vitamin aids the adrenal glands in producing stress-reducing hormones. Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) is critical

ALDH2 deficiency advice
I have had years of gut problems, partly, I’m sure, connected to my hypothyroidism, lactose intolerance and gluten intolerance, however I’m not sure if it’s all due to my thyroid. I am wondering whether I may also have ALDH2 deficiency. If you’re unfamiliar with this, it’s a common genetic mutation,

Blood Glucose numbers with APS
Just wondering as my Primary care Dr. recently ran blood tests and said my Glucose readings were slightly high at 120 or so. I have altered my intake of Carbs and Sugar quite a bit and was curious if having APS and taking Warfarin is affecting my Blood Glucose numbers at all? Age 69 and have had APS

Lab results - no diagnosis yet...
Hi everyone. I wrote a post a couple of weeks ago about my husband going to the Nephrologist for the first time. At the consultation, his Nephrologist was pretty optimistic but also concerned with the microhematuria. We both know something is going on but it's becoming clear that getting a proper diagnosis

Any Strategies For Controlling Blood Sugar While Taking Thyroid Meds
I am not a diabetic. Before having my thyroidectomy my glucose levels never rose above 82. Controlling by morning blood sugars have been especially difficult, maybe due to taking the meds at 6am while the "Dawn Effect" is still present. Do anyone exercise in the mornings before taking their meds

Put on escitalopram 10mg
Well after waiting 3 months for my doctor appointment on March 29th, I had full blood work up, was flagged on my glucose so my doctor did and A1C test, I am pre diabetic. Had BP of 142/82 and a pulse of 116 which is assumed to be because of how anxious I was about the appointment and GAD. Does anyone

Dehydroascorbic acid: Could orange juice oxidised in the fridge overnight be an important weapon against Parkinson's?
Dehydroascorbic acid is the oxidised and reversible form of ascorbic acid or vitamin C. It can protect the brain and reduce stroke mortality, due to its ability to cross the blood-brain barrier, whereas vitamin C or ascorbic acid cannot easily do so. In one study it was proposed as a possible treatment

How can I increase my T4?
Having just discovered that there is a relationship between hypothyroidism, low T4 and kidney problems. In other words low GFR (kidney function) I'm wondering whether I should consider increasing my NDT or thyroxin or whatever I can take to increase my T4. My results most recently done in February.
