Oxidative Stress (ROS), Sleep and the Gut Microbiome: Staying Alive
I am just back from a challenging (humbling) multiday backpack in the High Sierras of California. Very beautiful but drought conditions, dry stream water sources made it more difficult. Here is a pre-note on my own regimen: After completing my two phase radiation treatments for oligometastatic PC:

Tylenol and blood glucose readings
About 5 or 6 weeks post-transplant I noticed that my blood draw would indicate my blood sugar was 92, but when I got home it was 138. Those were about 20 min apart (only drinking water in between). I decided to consult Dr Google about this inconsistency. I found an article that said with the blood

Managing Your Condition
I'm due another routine rheumatology appointment in approximately one months time and as usual, a full battery of blood tests are required. I've had PMR for over 3yrs now and spent much time researching my condition and the effects the steroids COULD have on my body! I know we're all well aware of the

Hi. Hoping all are remaining as well as can be. I have idiopathic cardiomyopathy and a very irregular heart rhythm. Both lower ventricles are very weak. It is thought that this may have been virus or toxin related from many years ago and not discovered until it became noticeably symptomatic and diagnosed

Semaglutide as an Answer for ADT Fat Gain & Obesity
The gift of ADT (androgen deprivation) for advanced prostate cancer is a longer life. The harms caused by that same ADT are myriad and have been well discussed here. Included in those range of effects from very low testosterone is a powerful tendency to put on body fat. And to lose muscle mass and strength

Non-diabetic stage 5CKD now glucose in urine?
Hi! Has anyone who is Non-diabetic stage 5CKD had glucose in urine? I went in because it felt like I had a UTI and they discovered I had glucose in my urine. My nephrologist never checks my urine, just blood. My blood sugar has always been normal. Has anyone else experienced this? It’s odd because it

Hi
I was diagnosed with t2 in January 2018. My numbers are at the low end, and I'm not medicated, but when I had covid (and steroids) they were awful. My last round of labs showed my a1c @5.8, which is great! It's been a year since my major covid ordeal and I'm still not back to normal overall, since I

Help with diagnosing gut issues that suddenly started 18 months ago - Related to sub-optimal B12?
Hi - this is a repost from IBS Network community. I saw posts on here that lower than optimal B12 could be the cause of my gut issues, which dont' seem to be IBD/IBS as calprotectin is low. Any advice - let me know! I'm new to this community and hoping to get some guidance on my gut issues. The heaviness

Need advice on thyroid issues
Hello everyone, need some help on my thyroid condition. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis in 2019, because of thyroid antibodies being high and with hypothyroidism based on my TSH and T3 and T4 levels. I’ve been taking medication since then, things have been up and down since then. However
