We cannot diagnose, but I can share. I have high MCHC and high MCV and low RBC. My Doctor is monitoring it and might need injection in the future. I was diagnosed at CKD 3b and put on prescribed diet. I am age 80, which might make a difference in results.

Hi! In my personal opinion, you've done an amazing job bringing down your A1C, a diabetes marker! It's so nice to see you take charge like that! The other items that were flagged are basically borderline, so I don't think there's much to worry about there. You specifically mention lymphocytes - inflammation can affect lab data in that regard. I have very high lymphocytes and I attribute it to my allergies and arthritis. But this may or may not be your situation. I would encourage you to ask your doctor for clarification since you have concerns. As Orangecity41 indicated, we can only share experiences. Keep on keeping on - particularly in controlling the diabetes!

Thanks Darlenia for your support.. Concerning the high levels of lymphocytes, my GP attributed it to an uncomplicated infection I suffered 2 weeks...She said there's nothing to worry about

To reflect what orangecity and Darlenia said, we can't diagnose you and big congrats to yourself for all the works that you put in!

It's something that you should discuss with your medical team but your cholesterol doesn't look that worrisome. LDL is generally referred as "bad cholesterol" even though it does have a purpose. Yours is low and what is referred as "good cholesterol" (HDL) is normal. Which put your LDL/HDL ratio in a better position than mine (my LDL is normal but HDL is low).

Not to say that you shouldn't worry but I would suggest to ask your medical team where your effort is best spent to improve things. Managing your H1C is possibly the most important. In absence of clear directions improving nutrition and exercise is likely your best bet.

If it is something that concern you it might be worth getting a hand on those test strips to keep track of your lymphocytes. They are not the most reliable test but it could be reassuring to see whether they subdue after a few weeks or not.

I do have some at hand myself for that purpose. I do not leak protein in my urine just yet but it is something that worries me .. not that it's the absolute most concerning thing that could happen to me. I caught Covid nearly a month ago and it did reassure me to see that they were no changes there. They also served their purpose for the gout flare-up I just had. Something to discuss with my renal dietician.

What a piece from Michael__S and the rest of the kidney disease family... Very grateful.. every insightful advice offered brings me hope, that not all is lost.. because it's during such difficult times that you need everyone, but, unfortunately,, friends become thinner by the day..even close relatives, mind there own business....But,ever since I joined this family,I nolonger feel lonely..it gives me good hope that it's possible,to slow,or even stop progression of CKD, with the proper diet, treating the underlying cause and lifestyle changes.. These days,am always hooked up to this page..I love reading posts from the CKD veterans...kudos.. You are simply great..
