Put on escitalopram 10mg

Well after waiting 3 months for my doctor appointment on March 29th, I had full blood work up, was flagged on my glucose so my doctor did and A1C test, I am pre diabetic. Had BP of 142/82 and a pulse of 116 which is assumed to be because of how anxious I was about the appointment and GAD.

Does anyone have any input on the effectiveness of escitalopram and if it is safe to take with I'm assuming high BP.

All other blood work was normal, and as most of you know I was freaking out about cancer in general so my doctor told me that if there was anything off in my body that there would have been something off with my blood work to tip her off that something is going on with me.

She referred me to see a cardiologist just due to the fact of my family's history of heart attacks and heart disease.

Thank you , you all have been a big help and support for me these last 4 months, much appreciated and much love to you all!

You can reverse type 2 diabetes by changing your lifestyle. My cousin did it. I had high bp at my last physica twice so I got an at home monitor as recommended. It was probably because I didn't have enough water and I was nervous. It is still borderline so I am just seeing that as a sign that I need to do better.

On your family history I would wonder if they had a lifestyle that contributed as is so often the case given our "standard american diet". If that is true then this is even more reason to change your lifestyle and also an indication that you indeed have some control. It is good news that they caught it early.

My A1C is 5.8 so I'm just barely in the pre diabetic stage
