MY JOURNEY ON THYROID MEDS
Hello I am new to this forum, I live in the USA. I have used for a couple of years another thyroid related one, but I'm at a stall with my hypothyroidism. I need to explore other views. Here's my story. I'm hypothyroid with Hashimoto's and cortisol and aldosterone issues. Started a new therapy last July

Overmedication/hyperthyroid and BLOOD SUGAR
Hello Thanks to the advice of the lovely people here I have realized I am over medicated for my hypothyroidism. I have recently been observing MASSIVE blood sugar spikes in response to what is really a normal amount of carbs, eaten with fat and fiber. I recently purchased a continuous glucose monitor

Hello everyone, I think I am ready to post some outcomes of my Armour + Levo treatment. I am still not quite there, but I have come a long way and need to write this to state that there is hope, that we can persevere almost anything and document improvements. I remember times only a few months ago

My nhs endo is adamant that I’m depressed and it’s not my thyroid
I sent my latest test results to my endo and he wrote back today. Essentially he told me there’s nothing wrong with my thyroid or my pituitary and that I should seriously consider that I’m just depressed and that I should buy a blood glucose monitor and treat the adrenaline/blood glucose drops with a

Update
Hi all, going into week 6, so far so good but had nuts last night that had glucose syrup on as they were honey flavoured, big mistake, made my heart go funny, ok so far today. I didn’t know glucose syrup was liquid sweetener. Anyway I’m hoping it all stays settled . Hope everyone is doing good 😊.

Berberine: Time to nail down the dosage!
EDIT March 17, 2024:
Today somebody shared a link to a two year old post of mine about a report on Berberine being neurotoxic and taking it off of my stack. Within a few months I found other information on Berberine and, using my High School educated brain, decided that Berberine definitely needed

Hi everyone, This is my second post. My first post, my husband had been leaking protein and was told it would go away. A year later, he still has it. Alpha lipoic acid
I read recently that alpha lipoic acid may help with pain in the feet and hands, and help you handle glucose. Does anyone know if there are contra indications from breast cancer (and the drugs that treat it) to taking it? Thanks in advance.

When flecainide is given as a bonus intravenously. Is it always with dextrose?
The doctor ( who knew about my allergies) said it could only be given with
dextrose
. Is this true?

Bloodwork results
I got my blood work back from my doctor. My AST and ALT are now well within range, INR is normal, ferritin is normal, platelets are well within range. My triglycerides are almost normal, my cholesterol is almost normal. My fasting glucose is now normal (it previously was high). I know this means that

Gestational Diabetes
I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes last week when my glucose levels on a one hour test came back at 8.2. I have changed my diets and started exercising and For the last 3 days I have been testing my blood but everyday I have a one spike at different times. I’m trying to figure everything out.
