What is the correct dosage of hydrocortisone after failing an acth test?
Im just back from my endo apt.. it wasn’t the doctor I originally saw or spoke to on the phone who prescribed me with 10mg HC. The doc I saw today and also an additional doctor came in to the apt as They both stated they did not think I needed HC as my second test I just missed it by 7nmol. They said

Moved back in!
Hello BLF friends I moved back on Friday after hospital. It was a long day. Still squashed on the sofa with an electric radiator, it’s -2 but it’s ok curled up under the duvet. See who keeps me company, and takes most of the room 😃 I’m joking She has been a most supportive companion actually. It’s

I probably know the answer to this as I’m typing it, but I guess I’m just looking for some reassurance. I had a bad attack on Wednesday and I do feel my recovery has been made worse/delayed by the fact that the paramedic wouldn’t put me on a neb straight away as she said my wheeze was coming from my

Reducing Pred after op
Am now just over three weeks post op for spinal surgery. I feel I could start a slow taper from my present 4mg to 3.5 but wonder if it would be unwise at present. Don't want to upset the applecart at this stage. I was given 2 x 25mg Hydrocortisone shots in theatre and apart from that carried on

Adrenal Insufficiency Emergency Injection Kit
Without so much as a warning a syringe and a 100 mg vial of Hydrocortisone and to be fair, a leaflet, arrived in the post today. Shouldn’t someone have spoken to me? Showed me how to do it? Is this the shape of things to come in the NHS? Nobody has so much as mentioned an Adrenal Crisis to me. I would

How did humans get to the top of the pile?
Thank you everyone who commented on my post around why people chose a low-carb high fat diet, and did they do so after a high-carb low-fat diet. Personally I could debate on just that thread for the next 10 years, and perhaps I will! However it occurs to me a hypothesis following on from that question

Where can I purchase Liothyronine, Sustained-Release Liothyronine or Armour Thyroid prescription free online? And Hydrocortisone?
I heard about one of them being cheap in Thailand. I have Low T3 Syndrome and possibly Central Hypothyroidism and Hypopituitarism. Seeing an NHS endocrinologist soon.

It's been awhile since I have been on here. I have been very busy working and trying to keep it together. I even had the opportunity to find a better job with better hours. But in between that I started to have some itchy skin. I had my lips swell up 2 weeks later and doctors don't know why. I just got

Atch Test results.. can anyone help please?
Hey everyone! Hope all is good! I just got off the phone to my endo doc He said my baseline for cortisol was normal at 251 However when the synthetic was injected the cortisol didn’t rise as much as doc hoped.. Result was 390, he had hoped it would rise minimum 430. He’s suggested starting me on 10mg

New here
Hi there. I'm new to the group. I've recently been diagnosed with heart failure and LVSD. Spent two weeks in the hospital getting things controlled and have been out for two weeks. I'm not feeling too badly right now. In many ways better than I have in quite some time - breathing is good. Right now
