Hydrocortisone cream and foreskin
Hello, I went to the doctors today regarding a tight band of skin on my foreskin, I can retract it but I can visually see this tight band of skin. The doctor has prescribed me hydrocortisone cream but didn't really explain how to use it... Do I put it on the inside and outside then stretch straight away

Ongoing GI side effects from Yervoy
It's been a week of extremes. Our youngest daughter got married on Sunday, and it was such a day of joy. There were smiling family, happy friends, beautiful bride and groom, new in-laws, great weather (outdoor ceremony!), dinner and dancing, and I ended the night sitting by an outdoor fire overlooking

I just got home after a couple of weeks in hospital and I managed to lose 2lb. I am new to LCHF diet but I am doing okay. The only thing I miss is ciabatta bread :(

Does anyone suffer with facial hair? I have been prescribed Vaniqa cream to help the regrowth ( or prevention ) . However, as a busy student, there never seems to be a good time to put my Vaniqa and whenever I do, it smells and itches! Has anyone got advice?

Cholesterol level
Hi Guys I was just reading a post by Daisychain12 and how cream in coffee stops any sugar cravings during the day. I wanted to add that this was my default after my morning (black) tea and stops food cravings. In that post I read a reply from, TheAwfulToad, who asked for cholesterol levels. I've just

Update on rash 😬
Finally had gp appointment today . I had 3 issues to discuss , the rash , pain and swelling in joints , occipital pain and headaches. The rash had actually died down a bit over week though still itchy , he thinks it is due to photosensitivity as rash is on arms and stops at tee shirt line , a new problem

What is "palliative care"?
Hi all, Charlotte from Leukaemia Care here. I'm doing a bit of research on palliative care and I was surprised at what I found (I won't explain why as it may spoil the point of this question!) So I'm curious. Without googling or looking it up in any other way, would you all mind telling me what do

Eczema in kids
My LO is 17 months old. He has eczema in several parts of his arms and legs . He was given hydrocortisone 1% when we took him to the GP. After using the cream for a week, the condition gets better but it keeps getting worse if I don’t use the cream. I am very concerned about frequent use of hydrocortisone

Pituitary tumour update.
Hi all, I'm still here! I had the surgery to remove the large tumour on my pituitary. I am now 16 days post op and according to my surgeon, doing very well. The tumour was benign as 99% of them are. I have ACTH short test on Tues to see if my adrenals show any signs of working. Also more bloods to see

Prednisone vs hydrocortisone
I would very much like to hear your experiences of hydrocortisone. It seems like everyone on steroids is on predisone. Have understood that hydrocortisone has less side effects and is more a " normal" steroid for your body.

LCHF Vs Long/Emmer Wheat
Hi All, I would like to get some practical suggestions from you all. I was on partial LCHF(even though my friends like namaha proposed a full time one) diet. To start with LCHF diet, I was avoiding major carbs only during dinner. My dinner was usually boiled peanuts ( 1 cup) or coconut meat (half

Pain in penis not going away
I scratched a genital wart of the underside of my foreskin 7 days ago. It bled for a short while then stopped. It is now VERY sensitive to touch and it hurts when it rubs against my boxers. The pain hasn't got better for a week. It doesn't hurt if I press hard though. I'm being treated for UTI (not working

Urgent help needed for "leaky" legs!
Good morning! My husband, who has heart failure, and also has bilateral osteoarthritis of the knees, was diagnosed with cellulitis in June. Since then, he's had perpetually "leaky" legs, and is currently on his fifth course of antibiotics. I dress his legs twice a day for him, using Dermol cream,
