Has anyone tried L-THYROSINE capsules,

I ask the question because I've suffered with an underactive thyroid(hypothyroidism), adrenal suppression ( Addisons disease) dophemine depletion, b12 vit D deficiency

I came across it as a supplement to help with thyroid ( warning has to be underactive not hypo) adrenal fatigue and also dophemine levels.

.I've been taking it for about 3 weeks and have found it really helpful no fatigue daily and now able to reduce hydrocortisone to 20mg some days 15mg

I was before waking at 2am with fatigue and needing more hydrocortisone to get me through the night.

.This was one of the videos I found which started me looking

Has anyone else used it or found it helpful and if so how long have you taken it for ?? I'm unsure if I should stop reduce a break or just carry on.

I'm seeing the endo and team in Feb so can ask them but thought I'd ask you all first

Can you clarify what you mean by "warning has to be underactive not hypo", as being hypothyroid, and having an underactive thyroid, are the same thing.

Do you mean Tyrosine? Tyrosine (amino acid) is just one building block of thyroid hormones. If you are not a veggie, you should be getting plenty from eating meat. If you have a pituitary problem (which you have since you have Addisons), your thyroid is probably absolutely fine, but your pituitary (and possibly hypothalamus) is unable to tell it to produce enough hormones. So I can only imagine that Tyrosine also affects the pituitary in some way (esp since you have been able to reduce HC). Before I had a diagnosis and started on T3, I used to take a tyrosine/magnesium/B6 supplement and found it helped with mood and energy, but I haven't taken it since I got thyroid meds. I have central Hypo, too.

Hi sorry ive been overseas sitting on the sun couldn't deal with the winter weather anymore!!

I am a veggie! So do suffer and

Also b12, vit d difficency!

And yes the amino acid tyrosine! I have been taking a capsule every

Morning as it is supposed to help with thyroid adreanal glands ans dophamine levels

I am also in recovery from a number of addictions so had depleted my levels so thought if I could help myself I’ve also just started taking b1 to help with my cns central nervous system as I have suffered many years of numbness and pins and needles at various points in my body.

My addictions were me trying to self medicate my problems they only got worse physically and mentally !! I’ve been clear 6 years but the cns and mental fatigue can still be quite bad so will do anything I can to resolve issues.
