I moved back on Friday after hospital. It was a long day.
Still squashed on the sofa with an electric radiator, it’s -2 but it’s ok curled up under the duvet.
See who keeps me company, and takes most of the room 😃 I’m joking
She has been a most supportive companion actually.
It’s been nice and warm during the day the sun warms up the room.
I decided to move back to monitor the works so they can get it finished before they closed on the 21st until the 7th!
Friday I have an appointment at the local Respiratory consultant and we’ll decide if I can switch from Prednidone to Hydrocortisone as suggested by the hospital. So I understood it is less damaging but doesn’t have the same anti inflammatory effects. I managed to taper down to 8mg now, it makes me more tired and achy.
I got this respiratory essential oils preparation from the pharmacy which I can massage day and night. It helps me breathe better. It said thorax, solar plexus, back of the neck and foot soles.
I didn’t do the feet because my skin is sensitive there. Anyway I can breathe better.
Hello Fran, I’m awake at 3am because Pete rang me by accident whilst putting his phone on charge! 😂 l can hear you laughing from here!
Aria is so sweet and great company. Hope everything goes well for you and glad you can breathe better.
Petes doing well and improving because he is now back on his pred. They stopped it in hospital and I think that contributed to him feeling very poorly. His sarcoidosis certainly didn’t like it.
That is really good news about Pete, about him doing better I mean, not phoning you by mistake at 3a.m.! I don’t know why his Pred was stopped but I’m glad he’s back on the dreaded things as it’s helping him to improve (at last!) This really is wonderful news 💐🍇
Sorry I'm another hijacker on happy London's post....excellent news dear sassy59 about Pete and you say he's now back on the pred's which seem to have lightened his mood and he is making progress again. It must be such a relief for both of you. Its great to hear such great news.
It’s good to hear from you. I’d been wondering how you’d got on the 7th at your appointment. It’s great news you’re back home with Aria. She certainly looks very happy! The essential oils sound good 👍 I hope things continue to improve for you. Welcome home 💐
Well, its nice to read that you are back home, even though you are on the settee and Aria looks quite happy. I do hope the works get finished on time and you can be settled for Christmas. The essential oils sounds promising, let us know how you are getting on with them. Will the hydrocortisone be in tablet form? I suppose they will be better than steroids, lets pray they work for you. Take things easy x
Well they are steroids but for adrenal glands insufficiency.
Yes I got a box of 100 x 10mg tablets I have to take 2 x 2 a day am before I get up and lunch, 2 for any physical stress from going to the dentist onwards then if I am sick and have a fever I double 3 times a day for 3 days. The injection is for emergency while I go to hospital I expect if I can’t keep any food down, I only have one of those but I need one every 4 hours.
If I have the ok of the Respiratory specialist tomorrow I will start on Saturday. I have been very tired tapering down prednisone. I am on 8 mg and it does nothing for me.
Glad you are back home. Hope the workmen don't get you down. Stop making brews for them, then they might get on with the job. LOL. At least you have a loyal friend to back you up. Hope new meds work for you. Take care and take it easy. Pat xxx
I’m so so pleased you’re back home, albeit with a long list of jobs....it will be downhill from here, hopefully 😃
You seem to have your consultants in opposing corners. Do hope this big change works for you.....otherwise you’ll need a third opinion. It’s probably because your condition is so rare. Poor, dear Fran! 🌹🌸🌹
I know you’re not technically asthmatic but I’d hate to be changing my meds while settling into a new home, with maybe dust and new perfumes....even in clean Switzerland, so the very best of luck, my dear friend. Let us know every twist and turn....we’re here for you!
Yes I have to carry bags of meds honestly I must cost a lot 😃
I don’t know if I have asthma anymore I was diagnosed with severe bronchial asthma before they diagnosed LAM but I hate paint fumes and dust. I air the flat as much as I can. I try to go out and leave them to it!
Oh to be home again and the sheer joy of getting into your own bed (with your loyal furry friend Aria). This is all good news Fran. Keep snuggled up in the warm and come back and tell us how you got on with your Resp Con won't you?
Well happy friend,it is good that you are at home though your settee appears to have grown in length and now fills the room and poor Aria appears to have lost her eyes. What's all this about sensitive feet, get that sorted, didn't the pharmacist tell you we all breath through the soles of our feet?
Ski's and Scruff's bathing in the light of a SAD lamp xx
Hello Fran, thats nice to be back home but not necessarily comfortable. It's minus temperatures over here too I put the chair heat on , plus wheatbag and the large radiator with duvet to keep warm. Hope they finish before Christmas. Love Kate xx
