Mixed feelings about appointment
So I had my doctors appointment this morning following up blood tests (only the aforementioned TPO 117 iu/ml and TSH 2.2 (range 0.1-4.5) was measure unfortunately SeasideSusie). GP agreed to trying me on 75mcg levothyroxine on a trial basis which is good, and wants me in next week for bloods to check T3

Is barley malt extract gluten free?
I have followed a gluten free diet since before Christmas which doesn’t seem to have made much difference. I sometime have Rice Krispies, and read that BME can be tolerated by celiacs, however this seems debatable. I’m now unsure if this could be why being GF hasn’t made a difference to me. Any ideas

Wilson's Temperature Syndrome
Thank you for accepting me in this forum. I have been ill since my thirties (I am now 67) and was diagnosed at 50 with Hashimotos, it seems to be hereditary as my mother and two sisters also have it. I was put on only 25mg of thyroxine and from that moment on I was a lot worse. I asked if I could

TSH too dangerously high to start family?
I have been taking levothyroxine for ten years since my late teens. In August a blood test carried out through medichecks revealed my TSH was 1.78 (range 0.27-4.2) T4 was 21.6 range 12-22) and T3 was 4.21 (range 3.10-6.80) In late August I started to take levothyroxine at night instead of in the morning

Tight calf muscle
Following W2R1 Sunday morning I’ve had quite a tight feeling in my right calf. Came on in the afternoon and I put some deep heat on overnight. Strongest yesterday, eased today. Anything I should do? Keen to avoid an injury and have to stop running.

DBS Surgery
Good morning - It is now four months since my DBS surgery, and I am feeling stronger every day. The time spent in my blue chair has seen a substantial reduction - in fact, I catch myself avoiding it by folding clothes or dusting, things I don't particularly like. As you can see, my hair is growing back

Gluten free diet constipation
I’m 2 weeks post lap and I’ve been constipated for a few days. I don’t know if it’s my new gluten free diet, lack of not doing anything or the surgery. I’ve managed to go today with some laxido I’m eating really healthy and changed my diet completely to know gluten and I don’t know if this change would

Endometriosis after care really poor?life after surgery and zolodex.
So I’ve had the surgery, it’s all removed, great news. But I just find the after care extremely poor. Trying to ring the endometriosis nurse for 5 days to book in a follow up with my consultant and no joy as yet. My last zolodex was 2 weeks ago so I’ve got 2 weeks of that left then I’ll technically be

May is Coeliac awareness month in the US and Canada,
Good morning everyone, Being a diagnosed coeliac I know how hard it was for me to get diagnosed and it took many years as Dr's thought that I was too healthy and I was suffering from tension. This is because gluten is toxic to coeliac (celiac in the US) so its bound to make us tense and when a coeliac
