Low ferritin low hemoglobin celiac three years ?
I have posted before but at my wits end. I was diagnosed celiac three years ago due to very low ferritin and hemoglobin. I began gluten free diet and iron supplements and my levels were back to normal. Dr took me off iron and I continued gluten free. Past labs have shown a steady decline in my hemoglobin

Back again for help with recent blood results. Am i still a poor converter?
I am still a little confused with my most recent results , a recap: My GP instructed me to reduce my Levo from 100mcg to 75mcg, back in March when he saw that my TSH was 0.13 (0.27-4.2) I didn't want to , but was too lethargic to disagree with him. And he is only concerned about TSH, not how

Medication and DBS
Hi all. My husband diagnosed with PD two years ago (almost). He refused to take any medication. It seems PD had some progress. I have a feeling he is now thinking about treatment or medication. He asked me how long usually takes to be on medication before going for DBS. (He is 44years old) Do you

Celiac and Low iron levels
I was diagnosed with celiacs disease three years ago. I also take meds for GERD, hypothyroid, pre diabetes, cholesterol, and anxiety. For the first two years after adhering to a gluten free diet and also supplementing with iron pills, my levels were pretty stable at 14. My doctor noticed that they started

Focused Ultrasound Therapy, FDA-approved for Essential Tremors

Ointments such as Deep Heat for sore muscles
All, I've got a calf strain and was going to get an ointment such as Deep Heat or similar brand. However, as they contain Ibuprofen it says on the packet that you should consult your GP if you take Warfarin (which I do). I know Ibuprofen has blood thinning properties but I wondered if anyone who is on

6 month gluten free trial
Hello! I just was wondering how other people managed a gluten free diet when others in the house eat gluten? I (finally!) went gluten free about 3 weeks ago but I'm really struggling with cross contamination so I don't think I've actually been properly gluten-free at all. 🤔 I was just looking for

Deterioration in digestive health
Over the past few months I feel my digestive and overall health has deteriorated. I am 58 have been diagnosed as coeliac for 3 years. I follow a strict gluten free diet. I have lost weight recently and now have a normal BMI. Always very careful. I have terrible burping, reflux, a feeling of tightness

Choice...
hi all, can I get your take on people 6 who choose a gluten free diet... Personally I can't see the attraction.. i wish I didn't have to have a gluten free diet. I'm guessing that they just cut out bread and pasta etc... but it's so much more.. there's so much food that I can't have... things you wouldn't

Coeliac Disease
Hi, I have been following a gluten free diet for many months one. I recently had an endoscopy to show if I have coeliacs disease. It came back as positive. The gastro enterologist said that the only way he could determine if I was a coeliac was if I was still eating it. The endoscopy shows I have

Sensitivite intestine causing extreme 'off-time' esp after opening bowels
Hello I'm in my ninth year (diagnosed age 37) of living with YOPD. About 16 months ago I suddenly was hit with a new symptom... The mere ingestion of food or even medication tablets would often set of an intense off-time period. Last year I had two separate one week stays in hospital trying to resolve

RYTARY OR SINEMET, WHICH WORKS BEST AND CAUSES MILD OR NO DYSKINESIA OR DYSTONIA?
Hi Friends, Diagnosed as a Yopd patient. I need your honest opinion as regards Rytary and Sinemet,I am roughly 4yrs on this PD journey, and have been on sinemet with less severe side effects, until recently the ''on period'' of Sinemet decreased to 2hrs instead off initial 4 or 3hrs.I then had to dose

New pinprick blood test for Covid-19 antibodies.
A convenient, low-cost blood test for Covid-19 has been developed by scientists in Wales. Dried blood spot (DBS) samples have been used since the 1960s to test newborn babies for inherited disorders. The antibody test puts a single drop of blood from a skin prick onto specialized filter paper cards

Blood Tests: in range, despite classic hypothyroid symptoms
Hello, I’ve become an avid reader of this forum, these last months - and this is my first post. May I ask for your sage advice, please, on my blood test results, as below. My symptoms have developed slowly - practically unnoticed - for years, perhaps triggered by the birth of my second child in 2015

Any other PD people out there...your major PD symptom is toes curling up on both feet
Hi to everyone. I haven't signed in for awhile, so I hope all is well with everyone. The last time I signed in, I was going in for my first colonoscopy (April/May of 2019)...and I am happy to say that I got a clean bill of health for my colon and don't have to go back in for colonoscopy for 10 years
