Feeling worse when taking iron pills everyday
I started taking iron pills since two months ago due to iron deficiency anemia but they make me feel awful sometimes...when I take them for two or three days in a row I get headaches and my eyes get puffy then I have to stop taking them for one or two days... Any ideas why it happens?

Hi, I was just looking at my Ferritin levels and wondered if anyone has an opinion on them? As usual I have been told they are fine. My haemoglobin levels are very good, average around 140. Currently on Vit D. 100mcg levo and 10mcg T3 a day. Previous ferritin results range from 25ug/L-74 . Ref range

Medicheck's 'iron deficiency test' no longer includes word 'ferritin', though their Dr. reports 'healthy iron stores': advice please
Recent '11 test' bloods by Medichecks now records an iron deficiency check under 'iron status' but does not use the words ferritin, despite the company's doctor reporting 'ferritin as normal, healthy iron stores'. This has a range of 13-150, mine was 62.8ug/L. SeasideSusie kindly mentioned earlier that

IRON ADVICE
Does anyone know how long a gap I need to leave between taking my thyroxine/ T3 and my dispersible Iron supplement? I know they clash so I was wondering I really want an iron infusion. Can I pay for this? Does anyone have any leads? Thanks all.

What is a TBG lab test?
I was looking over my lab sheet for labs to be taken in two weeks and noticed my GP ordered Thyroid binding Globulins. It sounds like a reverse t4 when trying to understand it? I thought they ordered a TGab, but apparently that was not the case. What exactly will this result tell me? Oh how all your

I'm hoping the surgery will

RLS and Iron deficiency
I have recently seen an American site describing treatment for RLS based on Injections of Iron. I believe it originated at the John Hopkins Hospital and I wonder if anyone in the UK is using this treatment

Help with interpreting blood test results. What's the next step?
My god-daughter has just received more blood test results, some of which are in the photo attached. She previously had low B12 (for which she is now receiving loading injections), and also low serum folate, low iron, low transferrin saturation, and tested positive for Hashimoto's and Lactate Dehydrogenase
