Bovine Thyroid Health by Nutri-Meds
Does anyone take these? I have just starting taking the 130mg capsules, having been on levothyroxine for 18 years and never feeling great. My last dose was 100mcg which had more recently been reduced from a long term dose of 125mcg. I'm wondering how much of the Bovine Thryoid Health I should be taking

Time to leave between Iron and Levo
Hi Can anybody tell me how many hours to leave between taking my Levo to taking iron supplements? The doctor has put me on 3 iron tablets a day now and I currently take my T4 in the morning at 630 am. I also take T3 around 330pm so struggling to squeeze 3 iron tablets in unless I can take two tablets

Blood test results show high ferritin
Blood test results show high ferritin but low Hg. 57 year peri menapausal, cough for 20 weeks being treated for asthma. Sometimes so bad I gag and vomit. Took a 17 day course of Prednisone which cleared the cough completely then it’s back - could this be connected to blood results. Feel a little nausea

Help with test results please
Please can I have some advice on my latest set of test results? I requested the Vit D, ferritin, folate and B12 to be done alongside my normal thyroid. I am currently taking 25mcg of Levo, started in December. Not sure why there is no T4 result. My TSH has come down slightly since December test. Serum

Thyroid test results
Hi as per first post I am trying to find out why I have heavy periods. Back in 2004 I had one so bad I had to take the day off work due to disabling cramps and clotty cycle. I have underactive thyroid but my results are not deemed severe enough to be causing this problem. Diagnosed 2008 with hypothyroidism

Tirosint
Hi Can someone tell me if Tirosint is T3 or just T4 in a gel form, and is it absorbed by the body more easily and therefore better than tablets? Will doctors prescribe it or is it too expensive? Thank you.

Switching Back to T4 Only - Did I Do It Right?
I recently went hyper from adding T3 to my regimen. My endo advised me to stop all thyroid meds for 3 days, then drop the T3, and take only T4. So I went FROM: 5 mcgs of T3 twice a day *50 mcgs of Tirosint once a day (*this was up to 88 mcgs of Tirosint when I went hyper, we went down to 50 a couple

Iron deficiency causes
[i]Iron deficiency is the most common nutrient deficiency in the developed world, affecting around one in three women of reproductive age. It can develop when iron intakes or iron absorption rates are unable to meet the iron demands of the body, causing weakness, fatigue, poor concentration, headaches

Low Iron Levels
Hello. I have a treated case of Pernicious Anaemia. (Having injections for c. 2 years. I am 38). I have just been tested for iron which was found to be very low (8?) Along with a range of other things (haemoglobin, liver function, red/white blood cells and more...) which were all fine. Wish I'd asked

Radio 4 Inside Science - about iron supplementation
Just heard inside science talking about iron supplementation which was very interesting. Thought I would post the transcript as so many of us Hypo people also have iron problems. It seems that lower doses on alternate days may actually cause the body to absorb iron better due to evolutionary reasons

Iron deficiency & iron supplementing
Some research coming out of Zurich seems to suggest that iron deficiency anaemia may be corrected quicker with lower dosing and less frequent dosing ie alternate days instead of daily and it may also make adverse effects to iron supplementation more tolerable. Forward to last 10 minutes of programme
