treatment for rectal bleeding/hemorrhoids?
It’s now May 2024 and I’ve had a total of two colonoscopies and one sigmoidoscopy since 2020 and they have found the following: hypertrophic anal papillae(basically a benign fibrous polyp that many gi doctors regard as a skin tag), internal hemorrhoids and one external friable hemorrhoid, small divericula

Endo diet and bowel symptoms
Although there was nothing sinister in the MRI she recommended a
colonoscopy
, which I'm in the process of arranging. I remember the endo diet helping before, but it was years ago, and I've never tried peppermint.

hello
so this is a summary of my journey with IBS. I hope it may be of some interest. I experienced much uncomfortable constipation as a child, I remember it quite well. And I also experienced episodes of uncontrollable and occasionally explosive bowel movements of diarrhoea . It caused some difficulties

Colonoscopy prep - tips!
Hi all, I am due to start the Moviprep this evening, before my
colonoscopy
in the morning. As it stands none of my worry is for the actual procedure, it’s just for the prep!

A year ago, I had a
colonoscopy
, and I believe my SIBO was triggered afterward because I did not improve. I'm not sure if this idea makes much sense, but the fear that the
colonoscopy
disrupted my flora due to the enema has affected my mindset, and I'm not sure if I've gotten worse.

Blood Test
I had a blood test done 2/3 weeks ago it was supposed to be about the Anastrazole tablets 1mg levels that I take one a day following B/Cancer 2018 that following that I had to shield 4 the year of 2020 as I was at high risk E.T.C of getting the stuff with me having to watch what I was eating with that

Hi Everyone, I'm new to this but so glad I found it. Thought I'd introduce myself....no point in holding back!
I had to use my little private Insurance Policy to get a
Colonoscopy
in January last year. I was told that the damage to my left descending Colon was extremely significant.

pre colonoscopy advice
So to cut a long story short I have a
colonoscopy
booked for Monday afternoon which is some 3 weeks later than it should have been and I’m now crossing everything that there is still enough evidence visible to get a confirmed diagnosis and I’m hoping for some tips to help find the best way of making

Tummy troubles and IVF
The only other thing they can offer me is a
colonoscopy
which I haven't been able to do because I'm always in IVF treatment or doing tests. The specialist thinks they will find nothing in a
colonoscopy
and therefore thought I should prioritise my IVF.

Ongoing mucus issue ibs
Ive had a full
colonoscopy
done 14 months ago and was clear. Ct with contrast of small bowel and was clear except a focal constriction but was told it was ok. I went gluten dairy free and took 1 loperamide a day and things improved since last year with the odd episode.

Colonoscopy
confirmed diverticular disease and areas where infection had left scaring. Excessive bile release contributes by causing more irritation. A complete rethink of my eating habits became necessary.

"Very low risk" of colon cancer, so surveillance is unnecessary?
What is beyond debate is that "the polyps at your last
colonoscopy
" were not "under 1 cm" (as the
colonoscopy
report confirms, and the report from 5 years previously adds emphasis).

Pressure in rectum
I spoke to my IBD nurse who has arranged a
colonoscopy
for 7th June and is also going to book me an MRI. Has anyone been suffering from rectal pressure? Could it be an abscess? I’m worrying about the
colonoscopy
as I don’t even know how they will do it at this point! Thank you for reading!

SeHCAT scan - eeek!
Got my letter through to book the SeHCAT scan. I'm just freaked out by having to go to the same clinic that caused me so much distress during colonoscopies/endoscopies. I know this won't hurt and logically I don't need to worry but I can't help it.🙄
